Moni is the owner of this nice hotel on a quiet square at the top of the Albayzin. Very welcoming and comfortable, nice rooftop with views, access to laundry and kitchen facilities. It is a bit of distance from the Alhambra, easiest way to get there is via the Granada buses which serve the Albayzin frequently, stop is a five... More

This hostal is in the heart of the charming old Arab district, full of character. But the real reason for the high rating is the wonderful cheery friendliness and generosity of hosts Moni and Marisol. They are delightful! We stayed at the location on Plaza San Bartholome (I believe there are two others), and Marisol gave us maps with information... More

First, the location is excellent. In Albaicin quarters facing Alhambra. What else do you want? The hosts are friendly and responsive. The breakfast was included in the cost and was generous. The roof has lovely views and is charmingly decorated with grapevine. The room in which I stayed with friends was clean and comfortable. Overall it was a very good... More

Moni and Marisol are extremely helpful and kind and there's open access to the breakfast facilities on a terrace with fabulous views of the Sierra Nevada. However… I wasn't impressed with either of the rooms we had. I booked through Agoda, who transferred the info to Booking.Com who I deliberately don't use because there have been problems in the past.... More

Not just a bed for two nights but also an unforgettable experience. We only just managed to get our Volvo XC70 through the narrow street into this medieval square and the secure parking for 10 euros a night. The hosts were marvellous and more than helpful. It is situated in the oldest part of town and the place all the... More

We (4 couples) stayed here one night during our 5-day Andalusia motorcycle trip. The biggest plus was a safe parking for only 5 EUR per motorcycle and very hospitable and helpful hosts arranged us restaurant for dinner and the tickets for flamenco show. Although we booked 4 double rooms with privat bathroom in hostal we were accomodated in one ground... More

My mother and I were travelling in Andalusia in Sep 2013 and she booked this hotel. The owner is a big like the godfather of the Albaizin, the old Arab quarter of Granada. The house is managed by his wife, who cleans and decorates the house so amazingly, you'll never want to leave! We even negotiated for an extra night... More

I stayed at Hostal Moni Albayzin for 3 nights with my husband and brother-in-law. We arrived in Granada by bus and took a cab to the hostel (about 10 euros), which is located in a tiny plaza in a corner of Albayzin, the hilly old Muslim quarter of Granada. The neighborhood itself is just magical, narrow cobbled streets, charming white... More

The owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. The Hostal was in a lovely old quiet plaza in the old Moorish Albaizin cobbled quarter of Grenada. Buses every few mins downtown. A quiet house to stay in. Quirky decor. We had a small bedroom with a good size shower room and a big balcony with vines overhead. A wonderful... More

My husband and I just stayed for one night this past April. Got a room with an en suite, it was cozy and unique and much more than I would expect for the price, with a nice hot shower and not at all sparse feeling. The place was difficult to find, hidden in the hilly and maze-like old albayzin district.... More
