We stayed here for four nights in mid July and found this hotel comfortable and quiet. Ten minute taxi drive from bus station ( less than 10€). The Senator is within walking distance of city centre - 10-15 minutes across the bridge at Calle Ribera del Genil and along Calle San Antón (canopies overhead protect from the sun). Taxis cover... Stayed in economy twin room. Very small but overall was a good deal. Enjoyed breakfasts and spa. Missed a communal area. Was no real lounge or communal space. Layout of tbe hotel means you dont really see much of other guests. I still enjoyed the experience.

This is a tough hotel to review. I got the feeling it was more geared for business guests or maybe weekend guests. I stayed here for 4 nights and the hotel is a little soulless. The staff are reasonably efficient but for a 4* hotel not helpful unless you ask eg. No explanation where the restaurant is, spa, any facilities... More

We made a trip around southern Spain and it was refreshing to visit this hotel. Ok, it's barely 4 star, but close enough and that is very often not the case with 4 star places in Spain. They offer free spa in the morning and that is very good, with many different experiences. The breakfast was extensive - again not... More

We wanted a hotel that was near enough to walk to the centre of town but quiet and relaxing. The Senator Spa sort of meets the first criterion but wouldn't really recommend or go back. Pros: -Relatively conveniently placed and easy to find. Although in a rather charmeless business-residential neighbourhood It is about 15 minutes pleasant walk into the old... More

+ Breakfast is buffet style, above average, with fresh orange juice made on the spot and unlimited Nespresso coffes, as well as local specialties (not worth 12.50E, but great if included in the room rate) + Spa landscape well designed: Underground, 6 small pools for 2-8 persons each and 1 larger pool (some 8x8m). Lots of jets and bubbles, various... More

Perfect location just outside the city centre. Comfortable room, friendly staff and the best breakfast you can get for only €12,50. Nespresso coffee, fresh orange juice, all the eggs made for you, etc. The only downside in my opinion is the absence of a nice bar where you can relax after a day in the city. The cafetaria is not... We got a great deal on this place using a last minute bid. It's on the outskirts of the tourists area but walkable. We had a dirty washroom but the staff apologized profusely and sent a bottle of champagne. If you do stay here the sn1 & sn2 bus brings you right in front off hotel from the bus depot.

Stayed with family at this hotel in Oct 2014. The place is located a bit away from the city centre although the bus stops are located a few minutes walk away. There is an outdoor gym located just opposite the hotel. The Wifi is free but slow and you are required to pay a premium for a faster Wifi. In... More

The hotel is located in very quiet neighbourhood. Taxis drop one a few metres away from the hotel premises from where one has to lug one's bags over cobblestones or over a flight of steps. The rooms though small are neat and clean. Buses to city centre are available from just down the road and by foot it is a... More
