This is probalby the worst hostal i have stayed over the last years. I booked it by the name B&B Manila but in front it writes Pension Castilla. The only good thing was the politeness of the stuff. The room was small, noisy, without wardrobe or any place to leave my clothes and with only one toilet for the whole... More

This hostel was terrible. The staff were friendly, so I hate to write a bad review, but it was terrible. The rooms do not look at all like they do in the pictures they have posted. It took the employee an hour and a half to check us in because he didn't know what he was doing. He had no... More

Does hair on the sheets, free wifi that doesn't work, and a staff seems to know less about the hostel than you sounds like a good deal? Then this is the place for you! After waiting a delightful hour and a half in a line of 2 people to check in, we realized that the wifi, which is spotty at... More

Disgusting. Avoid at all costs. I'm sitting in my "cell" writing this on the free wifi (which is the only thing that works in this BASIC room). I cannot believe the rudeness of the staff when told that the tap (which really is a luxury here) doesn't work. I'm only still here because every where else in the area, including... More

Over priced hostal in trashy seaside location. Mattresses are the original ones from first day of opening. Wi-Fi connection is pathetic. Staff were nice. Breakfast area was cheap and nasty, no variety. Bathrooms were mixed and not separated from boys and girls. Greedy owner(s) should be ashamed of operating such a hostal, you have no style, no flare and mostly... More

15 min walking distance to the beach. friendly stuff, social rooms. low water pressure. kitchen is in the basement and they lock the fridge which I find ridiculous. each time I have to take my food I need to go up to the reception desk and ask them to open the fridge. stuff is super friendly and helpful but they... Stayed in the pension for 5 days. Of course you can not expect luxury for the good price. But everything worked fine, was clean and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I have stayed here a couple of times, it's cheap and 15/20 minute walk to the beach, la nogalera and shops, etc. You are mean't to leave the key ina box at the desk when you go out however I kept mine as I didn't feel secure about leaving the key where anyone could pick it up. There is some... More

I stayed here in September with my partner and we were very pleased!! 24 hour reception which was fab as we didn't arrive until nearly midnight. Very friendly staff! You get access to a computer with free internet and free calls to UK numbers which was a definite bonus. Breakfast included, fairly simple but wouldn't expect any more for the... More
