The hotel is an old house in a good position near the beach along the La Caruela strip. But it could do with modernisation but then it probably would not be such good value. Had a tripple room with 2 young children. Paying €10 extra for a tiny balcony at the back but was not worth sitting on. €3 per... More

Strange name for a hotel in Costa del Sol, but if you just forget about the name, you will find a nice old setting with a small but clean swimming pool and an outdoor restaurant. This large three-story house was de home of a local celebrity, Lola Medina, a flamenco dancer who built it in the early 1950s. It became... More

Stayed at this lovely hotel at the end of June for a few nights with my daughters. What a find! Close to shops, restaurants and bars yet so peaceful. Yes the sun beds do need replacing and a fridge in the room would be very useful. I agree with previous comments about this hotels potential, it's a beautiful place with... More

Yes, this hotel needs is an update. But it is still good enough (we stayed here only one night on our way to Malaga Airport). However, the hotel has much more potential...the location is excellent (less than 100 meters from the boulevard) and the hotel has a wonderfull style. However, considering what we paid for a 4person room (including breakfast)... More

I have travelled a lot over the years and have come to appreciate the smaller, more intimate hotels rather than larger garish ones. This residencia is just one block from the Carihuela and another block to the beach. It has seen better times and it really could do with a bit more TLC and money spent on it. It is... More

This hotel is a historic landmark designed for a flamenco dancer by one of the Picasso family. It has beautiful grounds (with nice pool) and Spanish flair with Granada touches. Honestly, more can be done with the place. I feel the owner is lazy. 1. Please get a porter. Why did I have to lug my luggage up two flights... More

I've stayed in many different hotel all over the world. This place is hard to review. The hotel does not pretend to be more than 2-stars but has potential for more. However, some things are not good and therefore I rate the hotel low. Examples: 1) First night we had a phone call at 1:00 a.m. waking us up and... More

Spent three nights here in July. Really liked the hotel. It's a little tired in places, but the bedroom was clean and perfectly adequate, with the added bonus of aircon! We had a nice view of the pool. The pool was beautiful. Small, but didn't get busy, I guess because the beach is nearby. The hotel is really close to... More

We booked this hotel through Booking.com as a last minute quick break. I hate huge hotels so looked for somewhere small and quirky. This place is just that! What more do you need than a comfortable bed, basic breakfast and some peace and quiet. The owners are lovely people and the hotel is clean and tidy. Breakfast on the terrace... More

We had a brilliant stay in Miami! It was so traditional, we felt as though we could imagine life when it was a private residence. Our room was adequately furnished, plenty if wardrobe space but the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Nice bathroom. We feel that paying an extra €10 per night for a "balcony" that was 10ft 6inch... More
