Spent 1 night in late December 08 and had a nice Standard room looking down the Golf and the Hills. Room was big, but no King size bed. Non-smoking as requested when booked via booking.com. Location wise you do need a car, and you have to pay for parking at the hotel (€10 per day) but we have found this to be normal with Spanish hotels. Perfect Location, clean rooms, excellent facilities. The staff at the Barcelo were lovely. They even let us go back to our room when we came back from the beach, after we had checked out so that we could shower before we got on the plane. You need a car is if you want to go into Puerto Banus though. more

We booked a last minute standard room on Expedia to the Barcelo. I would recommend this hotel as the service, food, pool and general communal areas were all of a high standard. I had imagined that it would be more grassy as the setting was described as on the golf course.... in fact it was a pretty standard hotel format.... more
