Stayed here for a week when i was working at the tennis tournament up the road. The rooms were pretty good, nice and spacious, clean with a cooking area and balcony. The view from the balcony was nothing to write home about. Breakfast was borderline horrific, theres only so much pate a man can eat, with the alternative cereal and... more

While the El Faro is probably well suited to hordes of drunken English stags and hens, it is a true holiday from hell for anyone with small children or wanting a nice break. We booked for a week with our 1 year old son, my wife was 6 months pregnant, and we were kept up all night every night by... more

Stayed here for 11 nights from 28 september '08. The hotel is in a great location between the old town and the beach and only a stone-throws away from both. My husband and I stayed on the second floor at the front of the hotel. We were worried it may be a little noisy from what we had read but... more

I've just returned from a hen weekend at this hotel an was impressed. THe hotel was basic but a great location. It was also very clean and the staff were very friendly. It is about 5 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the shops and 10 minutes from the old town which is full of lovely spainish resturants and... more

The hotel was fine, except for the view from the balcony at the rear of the hotel - all I could see was a redundent building site, lots of concrete and a school yard with lots of youths. The small 'kitchen' is rather sad. You wont want to spend much time here. Luckily, the beach is only 200m away. more

Stayed for a weekend in July for my hen party. Pros: Good value for money Clean Big rooms Great Old Town location Air-conditioning - not usually found in a 3* in Spain Cons Receptionist was not very friendly. Wouldn't check us in without our expedia booking confirmation, even though I could see my name on his computer screen! Not enough... more

I have just returned from my hen weekend where 9 of us stayed at the El Faro. It was perfect for us - very close to the beach with bars and restaurants which seem to be a bit cheaper than nearby puerto banus. we didn't use the pool - it was quite small but looked really nice and was very... more

Stayed here on a three night Hen Party. Hotel is ideal for this purpose, it is central, close to beach and has a small pool if you fancy a dip. It is a good budget hotel, perfect for hen parties or stag parties, the rooms were clean, and you had it cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The breakfast... more

WE CHECKED OUT!!!!! We were 3 girls traveling through Spain. Our room overlooked downtown "Beruit" also. I am hysterical at the other reviewer who said the same thing we kept saying. There were no LOCKS on the inside of your hotel room door and the lock on our balcony did not work either. Very Noisy you could hear everything going... more

Myself and 9 friends stayed at the El Faro last week for 4 nights. It was absolutely brilliant. The rooms were a decent size, very clean, and the kitchenette (with a hob and fridge) were very useful. The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is clean. The maids clean every day and change... more
