This was our second visit and the hotel again excelled. The location is perfect with the old town on the doorstep , lovely gardens with plentiful sun loungers , and direct access to promenade and beach . The hotel exudes quality. We stayed b&b and the breakfast buffet was excellent. We requested an upper floor room with full sea view... More

We booked a sea view balcony room many months ago through booking.com for around £100 a night b&b which was very good value, considering it was now nearly double the price. Breakfast was very good - various cereals, breads, hams, cheese, yoghurts, hot trays of sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs (and even spouts one day!!), plus an omelette and fried eggs... More

Relatively large feeling hotel situated on the beach front of Marbella. Comfortable and clean bedrooms, efficient staff and a well catered breakfast. As part of a large group of golfers - from which unusually no one complained. From this hotel you have a minutes walk to the lovely old town and orange square sector or an immediate access to the... At El Fuerta 16 to 23 June. Front Seaview Double Room, on half board basis. Hotel is in an excellent location , on the beach, close to shops and amenities and within a couple of minutes walk from the old town. I would imagine 10 years ago this was the best Hotel in Marbella, the problem is it's not keeping... More

My partner and I stayed at the Fuerte Marbella for 10 days in June. The previous year we had stayed in the Princess Playa Hotel which is almost next door. When staying there we noticed the Fuerte and thought what a lovely hotel it was. Last July we reserved a front sea facing room via booking.com at 1380 euros (£970)... More

Nice stay in April. Room looked just like the photos. Didn't use the pools as the weather was wet and I had a cold but looked good. Very few children which was a bonus. Breakfast excellent with cava too! Was a queue to get into breakfast on a couple of occasions. Only downside it was my husband and my birthdays... More

This hotel is a gem. A great location overlooking the beach. Around 50 years old, this place oozes charm and class. A very warm welcome, with complimentary drinks. We arrived 2 hours before the 3pm check-in so complimentary drinks was a very nice touch. The hotel staff were all great. From reception to bar staff to restaurant guys, everyone was... More

Just completed a 3 night visit to this fantastically located hotel. It was the first in Marbella and dates back to the 1950's. I have been coming here now for around 12 years and along with its sister hotel , the Miramar they do offer the best beach side location in Central Marbella. One small suugestion..why does the pool side... More

Great Hotel, we had booked the executive service, so fantastic room at the 8th floor overlooking the sea at the front of the Hotel. he executive service could be more available to the beach club ( that would have been great) not so practical to use in the reception. on your own it is not so cozy. The new beach... More

The grand old Lady of Marbella. The location of this hotel is unparalleled being right on the seafront in central Marbella within minutes walk of the Old Town, the harbour, the central eating street (where Pinxos is), the shops on the main road etc etc. The hotel itself and the rooms present well and, unlike the refurbished Miramar, you can...
