We had booked a mountain view but were upgraded to a sea view which was a first. Staff were very good and the guy by the pool is very helpful in getting loungers etc. There is a gate at the back which leads down to the sea and the numerous restaurants dotted along it. The old town is only a... more

Stayed in Don Pepe for 9 nights at beginning of July. Lovely hotel. Having read other reviews was a bit concerned but both hotel and staff were great. The only thing I would say is when we checked in we werent given any information about the hotel or the area ie where the spa was , a map of the... more

A welcoming and explanatory tour of our room on arrival. Superior Mountain View Room was sizeable enough and kept clean at all times by the housemaid. Hotel staff very friendly and the buffet breakfast (included in most packages) had good hot and cold variety and self served so portions not an issue. The bali beds at the pool were rarely... more

One of the best we have stayed in, clean and comfortable. However, the kids room kept leaking water through the ceiling which turned out to be faulty air conditioning unit. When we reported it, someone arrived within the hour to repair it, but it continued leaking on a daily basis throughout our stay. The engineer and cleaners used our bath... more

We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Don Pepe. My partner and I went with my Mum and all of us agree that we found the hotel ticked all the boxes needed for a relaxing, pampered holiday. Having read some reviews that criticised the hotel staff I wonder if perhaps that's more to do with the attitude... more

Just returned from a very enjoyable 5 night stay at this comfortable and spacious hotel. We booked a de-luxe room on the 5th floor which was a good size. No Welcome fruit/water. Bathroom/toilet reasonably ok but shower extremely old fashioned. We had to ask for it to be repaired as water was spraying out everywhere. Hotel was very expensive for... more

Myself and my husband (we are in our late 30's) booked this hotel for 10 nights for our honeymoon, we paid a ridiculous price for a standard room (not with a sea view) but thought it being 5 star it would be gorgegous and a real treat for us how wrong we were! On checking in we were asked did... more

I have just returned from 4 glorious days in the Gran Melia Don Pepe. The hotel and its facilities are wonderful. The pool and surrounding area must be one of the best in the area and the pool attendants were on hand from morning to late evening for your every need. The breakfast buffet is wonderful - everything totally fresh... more

The Don Pepe is a great place to stay. It is ideally located a perfect 15 minute walk from the old town, and 15 minute walk to Nueva Andalucia along the beachfront. The gardens are amazing...green, quiet and sea view rooms are sun spots for most of the day on the balcony. The rooms are nicely appointed, however the tile... more
