I heard great things about this hotel, so eventhough it was a bit pricey for a regular room we booked it. I was disappointed when i saw my room. I dont think its been updated since the 90s. The room is very small, barely any walking space and the bathroom needs to be modernized. The grounds are beautiful and well... More

What a surprise to visit the resorts beach restaurant, Del Mar, and even find car valet service in this very small side car park next to beach….two attendants no less! I use Puente Romano's restaurants regularly and have dined at four of them during the past three weeks alone. The Sea Grill is particularly superb in every way and Del... More

I stayed for a week at Puente Romano at the beginning of June 2014 and I absolutely loved it. My junior suite with garden view (overlooking the pool) was brilliant with a most comfortable and massive bed, a sublime bathroom and lovely terrace. The staff at reception, waiters, chambermaids and pool attendants were all faultless to a tee and most... More

Let me preface this review with we stayed here with our 2 year old for 2 nights, so we didn't get to enjoy the facilities as much as we would have liked. Upon check-in, we were informed that we were getting an upgrade. Well, we got a nice room (not sure how much different it was from our original booking... More

We have just arrived back from our 2nd trip this year to The Puente Romano. Each and every member of staff did everything to make our holiday perfect and achieved just that. There are ample restaurants within the hotel and we have never had a problem booking any. If you book through Concierge they do make sure that you get... More

My wife and I recently visited Puente Romano for a brief respite during a long trip to Spain that included a lot of sightseeing and much traveling. What we got was quite a lot more than a respite - it was an amazing and luxurious experience that completely relaxed us and recharged our batteries for the remainder of the trip.... More

(+): 1)Excellent room service(twice a day). 2)Bright,spacious rooms 3)We've met a very friendly professional girl at the reception who helped us solve our problem(changed our room the following day). While there was another man at the reception with poor English who could not understand us=>we had to ask another staff of Puente Romano to help us explain him in Spanish. 4)Absolutely... Came here for one night as a special birthday treat. Requested quiet room. Meal in dani Garcia was fab and worth every penny. However on return to our room at 1am we were met with nightclub music going on until 4am with the people making vast noise until 5am. Therefore no sleep. Went to breakfast at 10am and also what... I'll start with the positives. The hotel itself is pretty, the grounds are lovely, the beach is very close, and the heated pool is a nice touch. There are also several restaurants onsite. Our room was also pretty quiet except for the night that there was a Michael Buble concert underneath our room, that no one warned us about. The... More

We stayed a couple of days in a deluxe junior suite with sea view and had a good/correct experience. We wanted to relax in the sun, at the pool, and that is exactly what we did. The hotel's grounds are beautiful, the room nicely renovated, staff is friendly,... The hotel is quite big but one never really has that feeling... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Puente Romano, member of The Leading Hotels of the World, is situated on the southern coast of Spain in the Costa del Sol within the “Golden Mile”, a residential area between Marbella and Puerto Banus, just 35 minutes’ drive from Málaga Airport. The heart of the Resort and its social focus is the Roman Bridge (Puente Romano) from which the property takes its name. This ancient artefact from the first century is a remaining structure of a road which once linked Cadiz with Rome, the Via Augusta.Resembling an Andalusian village, the 278 spacious guest rooms are spread in 27 three–storey villas, scattered around 55.000 sq. m. of lush, sub-tropical landscaped gardens, gently cascading down to the Mediterranean Sea. Over 400 species of plant life have been brought to the gardens from all around the world, many literally in a suitcase courtesy of HRH Principe Alfonso de Hohenlohe, the founder of the Puente Romano. ... more   less
