This is a beautiful location, with gorgeous grounds and nicely appointed rooms. Having said that, it is a difficult place to get to without a car, and is not -- as promised in the marketing copy -- "just minutes from the beach." (There really ought to be some understanding that 25 minutes is not "just minutes") You are really stranded... more

The resort itself is difficult to find, but once you get there it is a pleasant location with nice rooms. We arrived late the first evening and opted to eat in the hotel. For a Westin, the restaurant food is bland, uninspired and expensive for what it is. We do not like sushi, so I cannot state whether that restaurant... more

Everything is good about this place except the cost. It is a great looking resort and staffed by well trained freindly people, the rooms are roomy with all the facilities and most have a great view, either down the valley towards Marbella and the sea, or facing a spectacular mountain. One word of warning the room service is pretty bad... more

I have just returned from staying at the hotel westin, bit worried after reading reviews, but i thought it was lovely, you do need a car, as it has nothing around, only golf courses. It is about 10 15 mins from puerto banus, by car, very easy to find. Staff great, thank fernado for all your help in sorting reservation... more

I was very hesitant about staying at the Costa del Sol (notably and famously crowded with hotels, and people), and especially at a "resort" hotel like the Westin La Quinta. But it was actually a wonderful place, located in San Pedro, probably as close as you can get on this coast to an authentic "town." The service, rooms, restaurant and... more

This is a superb hotel and the staff were excellent. Enrique at the reception desk was most helpful and reassuring when there was a problem with our booking reservation. It was all resolved without any fuss. The room was spacious, very clean and had a wonderful view of the golf course, and the setting sun. Very relaxing at the end... more

My husband and i stayed at the Westin La Quinta, and having read a few reviews, was a little concerened. Happily the hotel turned out to be lovely. The Atmosphere is relaxed, Pool area gorgeous, and clean. The Staff were so helpful and friendly, the rooms very nice, and the all-you-can-eat breakfast is just great!! We only spent 4 nights,... more

Went to play golf and stay at the hotel. Overall the hotel and golf courses were very nice. However, I would say that many things are overpriced. The green fee doesn't include a buggy, where many others do - they also charge you for insurance to play golf. The bar at the empty pool was charging 4 euro for an... more

We arrived the early during Easter week, and the hotel was empty. I asked three different staff when the kids club was due to open and had three different replies. I also enquired about babysitting and was given a sheet quoting Eur18/hour from an outside agency! However the room was very nice with a lovely view of the pool and... more
