Second visit. Perfect location to step off train from airport. Staff very welcoming. Room comfortable, good shower. An easy 15/20 minute walk into centre, taxi back, 4 euros. A couple of reasonably priced restaurants close by hotel too. "Cuadros"was great for a light meal after our arrival at 22.00. Will definitely be back at Barcelo again!

Usually we do not like modern chain hotels but the Barcelo was most acceptable. Reception efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are somewhat clinical but functional and very clean with comfortable beds and good hifi connection. If you want a night or two at a hotel which is adjacent to the train station and with easy access to the air... More

The main reception is small, and when busy looks crowded. One receptionist dealing with customers which must be tiring for those arriving. Staff efficient, courteous, but hotel needs urgently to address the reception desk staffing levels.

Our entire family (2 adults, 3 kids aged 13, 7, and 6) had the chance of staying in this particular hotel for 2 nights in the 2nd week of April. We were given 2 adjoining rooms with a connecting door for added convenience in monitoring our kids. It felt like we were in a junior suite with an added convenience... More

Stayed at this hotel in March. The room was as you would expect from a chain hotel- modern, clean and comfortable. It was next to the railway station which we took from the airport. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We opted to pay extra for breakfast, which was plentiful with lots of variety (avoid the scrambled egg). The... More

We have just returned after a 6 nights stay @ this hotel. The staff very were friendly & made sure they looked after you, rooms clean & the beds the most comfortable we have encountered. We stayed b&b,the breakfast ample & tasty choices. Easy 10-15 minute walk into the centre/old town of Malaga & safe. The train station below (no... More

The staff were polite, pleasant, friendly... More

Excellent hotel for the value. Location is right above the train station but don't get concerns about noise as there was none of note. It's a 10min stroll straight into central Malaga - easy to do and safe day and night. If you don't want to walk there are hundreds of taxis as a part of the train station. The... More

We stayed at the Barceló Malaga for 4 nights during Semana Santa. The hotel is very convenient for airport transfers being right next to the Maria Zambrano train station; tickets cost €1.80 each way and the journey takes 12 minutes. We also wanted to hire a car for one of the days we were there, and the car hire offices... More

Great hotel next to the train station with great facilities and excellent staff. We only stayed one night but would return. We loved the fact that we could have a shower after a long day exploring the city before we left for Seville..great customer service and we would definitely return
