Browsing through tripadvisor I was shocked & a little bewildered by " overpriced and over rated " comments....My wife and I discovered El Oceano from a friends recommendation and it has turned out to be everything promised ...these people must have been in a different hotel!!! Disappointing and very over priced even with seasonal "discount". Rooms were average, no spanish charm to the place. Very much a spot for Brits. I was slightly disappointed when we arrived at Oceano Beach Hotel. From the price and reviews we had expected first class luxury. What we got was standard accommodation surrounded by loud Brits abroad. The room and service were fine but don't set your expectations up for anything other than that. more

I've stayed in many 5 star hotels all around the world. This was by far the most relaxing holiday I've ever had. The food was increadible (especially the seafood dishes.) I would recommend it to anyone! The pool area is so peacefull and relaxing, a ocean view to die for and on top of that.. the service was especially amazing.... more

I honestly didn't expect this. I have been to Barbados etc and this is on par with some of those overpriced hotels, easily. For a chilled out experience and a long weekend relax this ticked all the boxes. Loved it. I'm not going to go on because its our little secret! Just to say thanks to the staff and owners.... more
