Some of the other reviews are very outdated given our experience. We arrived late having had a hell of a time finding the hotel but this added to our wonderful memories. The guardia Civil were very helpful putting us on the right road and coming across wild boar in the rd was quite a sight. The receptionist vanessa was always... more

The hotel was quite hard to find but when we did we thought it was in a beautiful setting. Our room was a bit jaded but alright. However,I found it very strange that we were not allowed to take our drinks outside of the courtyard to have at one of the many tables outside in the lovely gardens, which I would've... more

We were given a beautiful room on arrival but floor sealing of the room below filled our room with fumes. We were given a replacement room in the 'annex' - very cold and felt as if it hadn't been used for months. The hotel advertises open fires throughout - not much use when they are not lit! Biggest disappointment was... more

Perhaps our expectations were too high, as the hotel's website is so promising, but we were rather disappointed as we had decided to pay a bit more for something 'special.' Our room was in the new building, and it certainly wasn't special. The fabric/furnishings were cheap and not very attractive, the balcony door was stuck so couldn't be opened (although... more

Just returned from a weeks break in this hotel, Good standard through out with a quite and inobtrusive staff. Restuarant was excellent with good service and food. Room was as described and very clean and appointed. We had a lovely break, would use the hotel again and recommend it to any one wanting peace and quite with a little luxury.... more

Stayed 3 nights and wished we hadn't. We chose the hotel because their website says you can enjoy beautiful views to the sea. That’s not correct. If you leave the hotel grounds and walk for a few minutes you can ‘enjoy’ a poor view of a crane at a building site on the coast, perhaps 10 miles away. At Reception... more

Nothing but complements: a great place in a word, the tranquility and the view is stunning. We've had a perfect first night of our honeymoon with excellent food, good wine and the nicest people. Enjoy the breakfast! more

Gorgeous location!! The location and setting of this hotel are really the highlight. The pool is lovely and the grounds, while not well-maintained, are also very nice. The room we stayed in was quite clean, but had a terrible odor in it. The odor was only difficult to bear in the first 10 minutes or so after entering, so it... more

My wife and I have used this hotel twice and have already pre-booked to return in September 2007. The hotel is fantastic, set in the most wonderful surroundings imaginable. So peacfull and spectacular and at a reasonable price if you book via the internet, not with the hotel. The rooms and en-suit bathrooms are above average quality. The main problem... more

We chose this hotel for the last night on our trip to Spain. An excellent choice. Wonderful scenery, excellent staff. Tremendous rooms. Very traditional Spanish food, well prepared, beautifully presented and tasting divine. If you can put this hotel in your itinerary you will not be disappointed. more
