We stayed here on our way from Cordoba to Malaga airport. It's a remote and beautiful spot in the mountains. The house is elegant and well-maintained. Our room was spacious - for two adults and a 14 year old boy - and there's also a lounge/library and a terrace at the front (sunny) and the side (shady). The owner is... More

We (family with children age 7 and 8) had a terrific experience in this hotel. The owners are very friendly, flexible and welcoming!! The hotel itself is in a beautiful scenery and the views and surroundings are amazing! I can recommend this note to everyone who likes good hotels and nature.

We visited this hotel in December 2012 as part of our holiday in the south of Spain. This was the most horrible hotel experience ever!!! The hotel is nowhere near Malaga but situated in the Montes de Malaga, on the website it is stated that the hotel is only 25 minutes away from Malaga but this is far away from... More

Great to see the wild boar come out at night. The smell from the septic tank, made being outside sometimes unpleasant, an improved septic tank to water the plants is needed. Staff very friendly and helpful although understaffed in evening. Food in evening is average, but the overall experience is fantastic.

We had a late flight into Malaga and wanted somewhere peaceful to stay the night before we moved on to Granada. My two sat-navs informed us we had arrived 6 miles early and in the middle of nowhere. We drove on and when we found the hotel we were very pleased we did. My three daughters shared a room with... More

We arrived in the evening and saw the lovely national park. We then decided to have dinner at the hotel, but despite the good service the food was terrible! I looked like something that had put in the Microwave... The next morning we took the fantastic walk of 1,5 h in the National park.

Not too difficult to find. SatNav took us there from Malaga Airport with no hitches. About an hour's drive up the winding mountain road. Very, very, remote. If you like forest walks, this is the place to come. Bird life is wonderful and the wild boars were a rare treat. Only downside is that if you like walking to another... More

We (family of four - two children 9,11 from NYC) spent three days at Humaina during Easter week. I could not underline more what other reviewers write about distance from Malaga. It may be Malaga the way surveyors consider it but even the coordinates provided (this is not a joke) on the hotel's web site are not to the hotel... More

First off, a bit of a warning: this place might look quite close to the city of Malaga as the crow flies, but it's a good 2 hours drive to the city. If you don't get lost. We spent two nights here on our way from Granada to Malaga city, and it was well worth it. The Malaga Mountains are... More
