4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The Dom Curro has a superb location, near the restaurant and shopping area, close to the Cathedral , the Picasso Museum and Birthplace and all the other major places of interest. It was excellent value for money, clean modern rooms, excellent breakfast. We did not find noise to be a problem as we asked for a front facing room at... More

As has been already said, the location could hardly be better. Around the corner of all main attractions and restaurants. In my opinion not noisy at all. The only pain was separate and expensive parking. The reception takes care of parking though which was nice.

My family and I were searching booking.com for a last minute family room after a disaster with an apartment in Malaga. We found the Don Curro hotel and were absolutely delighted. The staff were helpful and very courteous and the family room was very spacious and comfortable. With continental breakfast included, a price of €138 for 2 nights (4 people... More

I stayed here for two nights. The location is perfect for those wanting to explore the historic centre of Málaga, although the street is rather busy and noisy. The staff on reception were largely disinterested and, although not rude, just disengaged. New elevators are being installed, so I won't address the issue that issue. My room was spacious and the... The staff are pleasant and, helpful. However, the hotel itself is getting old and tired. The elevator is cramped and slow, the rooms (while sizeable) are past their prime and, there is unfinished work evident all over. My main observation was the noise level. The building itself is inherently noisey. There is very limited reduction from noise coming from the... More

Positives - great location, cheap price, late breakfast until 11.30am. Negatives - impersonal staff on desk, lift out of order had to use service lift for 5 nights to 6th floor. Hotel had 8 floors so the queues were crazy. Very hot in room, air con blew warm air. View of concrete walls - awful. Stayed at Molina Lario before... More

Malaga was the home town of Pablo Picasso. His birthplace has become a museum, not a big one nonetheless. Hotel Don Curro is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the museum. I stayed in this hotel for only one night, but hoped to have stayed for more. Besides its cleanliness, it was almost elegant for its marble floor... More

Stayed for two nights, really very pleasant, clean comfortable and quiet. The location was superb for sight seeing in malaga. Easy walk to either the marina or city centre and the pretty cobbled streets, including the picasso museum. The staff at the hotel were really helpful and we enjoyed our stay at the hotel and would definitely come back again.

Being one of the oldest hotel in Malaga, do not expect the fancying design. But it's location, in the middle of the old town combined with a friendly staff and the very reasonable breakfast, room, it's a very valid option. Please be aware cars are not allowed in the hotel street. It's mandatory to identify your car in the hotel... More

My sister and I stayed in a twin room in this hotel whilst visiting another sister in hospital in Malaga. There was some confusion about our booking on check-in but this was quickly sorted out and we were soon comfortably settled. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished with a comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. Evening meals were... More
