Ok, so this probably isn't the hotel you would pick for a week's beach holiday, but it is however perfect for a couple of nights to explore this great city without costing the earth. We chose the hotel as an airport hotel after reading a few good tips on the Malaga TA forum. The hotels near the airport don't look... More

This hotel is located perfectly round the corner from the wonderful old town with its squares and alleyways packed with cafés, bars and restaurants. Room was simple but nice with a modern, clean and spacious bathroom. Free wifi and room safe. Breakfast was fairly basic buffet style but a reasonable choice. Would recommend to anyone wanting a pleasant, clean and... More

Having been to Malaga several times before, decided to give this hotel a try and not enamoured by it at all! Rather dated decor, stairs at entrance up to reception may pose difficulty for infirm or elderly. Staying only for 2 nights after visiting Cordoba. Was given a room at the back of the hotel, looking onto walls and drain pipes... More

We stayed in Don Curro for 4 nights in June 2014 and we found it average. You do get what you pay for. PROS : 1) Location, location, location! This is the main reason we booked Don Curro. It's in the heart of Malaga, close to restaurants and shopping, and a 20 minutes walk to the beach. It's also a... More

The Don Curro Hotel is in a great central location in the old town - around the corner from the Catedral de la Encarnacion de Malaga and walking distance from sights, restaurants, and shopping. We will definitely stay there again for the convenience. The rooms were clean, tidy, quiet and just what you would expect. The breakfast was simple pastries,... More

We stayed at the Don Curro Hotel for two nights in early May before catching a cruise ship from the port. The driver of the taxi we took from the airport knew exactly where it was and didn't need direction. The hotel is near the old city, surrounded by restaurants, and very close to the port. Whether you are taking... More

We stayed in this hotel for three days. The hotel receptionist was smile-less. The concierge was more friendly. In the room, in thebathroom, the shower head was broken and the shower "valve" was not working. Overall the room was good. It was clean and neat. Breakfast was provided (until 10.30 am). The reception to the cafeteria was disorganised. No one... More

I don't usually go to hotels in this price range but I made an exception because I wanted to be in the center (really in the center) and relax. And yes, the location is perfect. Apart from that, it's just like any hotel in that price range, I guess. I was only surprised by the bath sponge, which I had... More

Have stayed several times in this hotel. It is exactly where you want to be in Malaga. Lovely restaurants, shops etc near. You can walk to all the main sights. I stayed there as a couple, with friends and on one occasion on my own. Very safe area. Ask for a room" lejos del hueco del as censor" to avoid... More

Just spent a couple of nights in the Don Curro. Left Seville which was too hot for me at 34C and travelled down to Malaga which was fresher at 25C thanks to a sea breeze. I was delighted with my room in the Don Curro. It was very well appointed with tasteful decor and a lovely big bathroom with plenty... More
