We stayed at the Casa de las Mercedes at the beginning of June 2015 and loved this little gem. We've been fortunate to visit many hotels in many cities and can say that the room and decor of the hotel was right up there with others that we've visited before. Boutique Hotels might not be for everyone but we really... More

We had two nights only in Malagaand arrived at one am after a delayed flight. Sander met us with a smiling welcome and escorted us through his lovely tiled corridors to our immaculately clean room with TV, safe and en suite bathroom. At breakfast he gave us a map and told us all the lovely places in the old city... More

We had a three bedded room in the Casa de Las Mercedes on a bed and breakfast basis - it's a really charming, small, quiet hotel full of character with beautiful rooms and a small internal courtyard with colourful flowers and a fountain. It's in the Old Town near the Cathedral so very central with lots of restaurants nearby. The... More

We specially wanted to stay in Malaga to see the processions on Good Friday and this was the right place to be, particularly because Sander gave us such good tips about which processions would be taking place and where they would be going. Also good recommendations for tapas bars and the hotel is ideally located near the warren of streets... More

Dear Kate, Thank you very much for staying in Casa de las Mercedes during the last Semana Santa! Our hotel is in a historical building from 1737, and all is recently renovated in the barroque style of the 18th century. All rooms are equipped with a flatscreen with satelite tv, a big wardrobe, airco, heating, minibar, safety deposit box, hairdryer... More

The staff were so friendly and explained exactly where to go and what to see.Very helpful in a busy City .The location is excellent and the rooms nicely decorated. We stayed for2 nights based on how much night life there is a later breakfast or a kettle in the room would have been nice.

This was my second visit to this city centre hotel. Staff are very friendly and most helpful. The bedrooms clean and comfortable. I stayed four nights . I will go again this year. Excellent location for the shops and local tapas bars.

Bypass the uninviting approach, past graffiti, unfinished houses, dodging dog mess. My first reaction when I was taken to my room was how cold it was, stone floors and hardly any heating. There was no ceiling to the room, simply a roof void (see photo). After some persuasion, I was given an extra heater, though this did not work fully.... More

This charming small hotel is located down a side-street just off the lively 'Teatro Cervantes' square. My room, although a bit on the small side, had all modcons including a fridge, safe and hairdryer. It also had a TV, but there were no English channels available. Breakfast was basic, but of high quality with freshly squeezed juice and excellent freshly... More

Very good location, just next to the Plaza de la Merced. Be careful though if driving a car as Hinestrosa street is a pedestrain street only (no direct access to the property by car and it is extremely difficult to park nearby). There is no 24/7 reception desk so remember to announce your time of arrival in advance. The room... More

We stayed only one night and it was our first night in Spain - Casa was just perfect for us! Located just off the main tourist attractions, walking distance from all must-sees in Malaga, it offers you a good night sleep as the beds are big and the place is very calm and quiet. Rooms are very small, but charming... More
