We booked here as it is very convenient for the Cervantes language school (which I can also highly recommend). It's in Pedregalejo which is a 10 minute, e1.60 bus journey into Malaga centre (buses running very 10 mins from very nearby) La Chancla is situated right along the beachfront along the promenade of bars and restaurants. It is a small... More

I found this area and the hotel when cycling along the sea front from Malaga last year and thought it looked interesting. I have just come back from three nights and it was fantastic. The location is great and the food/drinks/service exceptional. I did not really want to say how good a place this really was in case it got... More

The 9 bedroomed uber chic Hotel La Chancla right on the beach on the pedestrianised Paseo Maritimo in Pedregalejo about 2 miles east of Malaga city centre is a revelation. We have often walked along the seafront from Malaga to this ex-fishing village and loved it, but never realised until last year that there was a hotel situated right on... More

My husband & I spent 3 nights in this small hotel. It is situated right on the beach with lovely views. The hotel is decorated beautifully with a modern twist. Our room was right off the deck with hot tub just outside our room. It was in the roof so had a sloping ceiling with a huge velux windows with... More

Just a short break for my friend and I. Lovely rooms on the roof terrace with a sea view through the velux and sky view from bed ! Spacious bathroom with a big shower. Tip - we thought we would eat out in the evening at one of the beach side restaurants that have barbecues set up but at this... More

This hotel was recommended by a work colleague. The hotel has a fabulous location in Pedregalejo close to Malaga, only a few steps from a lovely beach. The area is almost all Spanish speaking which we liked.Rooms have been renovated recently, clean and comfortable with hair dryer and toiletries. Staff speak English and are extremely friendly and helpful. Wifi is free and... More

Forget Malaga centrum. A 10 minute bus ride and you will find a small hotel (8 rooms) right on the water front, with a fantastic restaraunt / bar. Very popular with the locals. The staff is very hard working and friendly. newly restored, very reasonable. Stayed in room 20, it was like we had our own private terrasse, jaccusi and... More

I love Malaga with its atmospheric old town, great bars, fantastic tapas and genuine Spanish feel. It's a million miles from the Costa del Sol experience, yet staying in the city can be a bit oppressive with all the bustle. So it was nice to find this place, 15 minutes from the centre and easily accessible by regular bus, even in... More

A lot of things went wrong on our stay. We asked for a seaview room and they gave us a junior suite. While it was swanky looking the only way you could get a view was if you were 4 feet tall and standing on the bed. But we liked having a skylight. Regardless, it would have been okay if... More
