Loved this special and unique hotel. Quiet as only 8 rooms. Lovely gardens and terraces with spectacular views of Malaga. Two small draw backs 1. They don't serve evening meals and 2. Its about 3 km from centre of Malaga ... But don't let that put you off. Lovely experience.

Castillo de Santa Catalina a small charming hotel with 8 rooms located on the outskirts of Malaga high up on a hill. There are parts left over from a fort from the 1600s but the hotel itself was built in 1932 in Arabian style. The whole hotel is tastefully decorated and the rooms as well. Big beautiful room with an... More

There are many positive reviews of this hotel, and they're right. It's an extraordinary place, extravagant but comfortable rooms, a fabulous rooftop terrace, great views, great atmosphere. Good breakfast, pleasant reception.

Although this is quite a big mansion in the hills above Malaga the hotel only has eight rooms which creates a quiet and intimate feeling. Beautifully appointed rooms. Ask for number 7 if you want a huge terrace. Breakfast was great. Weather was ok when we stayed there but I suppose it is wonderful to have a drink or two... More

We stayed in this beautiful neo Arabic hotel last week as part of a birthday celebration. We booked from Ireland. We booked a superior room No 8 . It's actually the room in the photo above. The accommodation was large and spacious. The bathroom was lovely with lots of little extras , including complimentary slippers. There's also Free WiFi, and... More

It was our last night in Andalucia before going back home and I couldn't have done it better!! What a magical, romantic and special place. The guys were so friendly and helpful with advice for Restaurants. You have to have your own car and is very tricky to get there but the GPS will do it! The suite was unbelievable... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night just before New Year. It is a lovely hotel, the staff could not have been more helpful and although a little way from the town centre we preferred to use taxi's and leave the car in their free carpark. Getting back to the Motorway was very easy. It is a special romantic... More

This was one hotel that truly gives you value for the money. The setting is an old fortress and castle. Although the hotel does not boast luxurious or flawless furnishings it's old world charm is quite enjoyable and adequate. Room number 3 was spacious and comfortable. The gardens provided a breathtaking and relaxing view of the sea and aesthetically pleasing... More

My son & his fiancee married in Malaga in September and their reception was held at the Castillo. To say WOW is an understatement. We ate outside in glorious weather and not only the venue but the food was out of this world. The wedding party took over all of the bedrooms which are light and airy. I have absolutely... More

We only stayed one night but wish it could of been more. With only eight rooms this magical place could never be crowded but we seemed to be the only one staying on the top floor so had the huge terrace with stunning views over the bay to ourselves. Despite being so quiet the kitchen was still open for dinner... More
