Food okay for dinner, breakfast not good, always cold eggs even though there was a reasonable selection.Coffee from machine ...............p! Garden and pool great, that is if you could fine a sun lounger that was not broken and sometimes dangerous. Housekeeping brill, room spotless. Staff in general were very pleasant and helpful, but lacked good management. Location is second to none, come on get the management... more

I stayed with a party of friends at El Paraiso from 29th May to 4th June 2009; having stayed there quite a few times before. This year the hotel is more run down than ever; although the grounds and pool area are immaculate and it’s such a shame that the interior of the hotel and its rooms are run down... more

I went to this hotel last March and it was ok for the money i paid so went back again this year.Had the same bedroom, huge rip in curtain still there 12 months later ! the hotel must have been glorious in its day but its fading fast and is neglected and tired although it is clean. We booked via the... more

Just got back from a short 4 night stay at the Parasio in Estepona. Must say after reading the other reviews we were a little worried about what to expect. Good points:- plenty of parking and reception was very efficient and friendly. Our room was on the 4th floor with stunning views to the sea, golf courses and mountains. Room... more

My observations are very similar to those of jojo2012. All over the place there are signs that the facilities are not being maintained and severe cost cutting is the order of the day. First the good points. Friendly helpful staff, but who seem to be under pressure and embaressed by some of the shortcomings. Great views, and excellent public areas... more

having been going to the area for years we know the hotel from when it first opened and have very fond memories of the area and the hotel. I know it has been through several owners but the current ones do not seem to be putting much care into the hotel What is good - the staff very friendly and... more

Would confirm all of the other recent reviews-slightly dated hotel but with large grounds and wonderful views. Staff very friendly and efficient. Breakfast beverages are by machine-foul coffee and powder orange juice. Michael Winner would not be amused. At breakfast every flat surface has a sign "Guests are not allowed to take food out or they will be charged" and... more

A very pleasant Hotel, in a very pleasant location, with very pleasant staff. I have just returned from 6 days there, and overall I was pleased with the experience. The Hotel is in a fantastic location atop a hill, about 1 mile inland from the N340, and slightly more from the sea. Be aware, this is a gruelling walk, and... more

I really can't see how there are so many positive reviews for this hotel. This was our fifth year staying here but we only booked it again because we got a really good price including 3 games of golf. Maybe we should have been worried! This was definitely the last time we will stay here. The standards of the hotel... more

I stayed at the Hotel el Paraiso for 4 nights at the end of April 2007. We arrived on a monday and left on a friday. Although the hotel is a good bit of a drive away from the airport in Malaga, the drive isnt too bad at all. The hotel seems to be set in a quiet area and... more
