After reading many good reviews of this hostel we booked for one night. We received a nice welcome from the owner Carlos who showed us to our room number 5. It was a triple with very comfortable beds and a adequate bathroom. But there was only a very high tiny window, making it feel like a comfy prision cell. Also... More

We stayed for two nights and loved it! Although the hostel should not be mistaken for a hotel; the place has a lovely atmosphere and charm, thanks to Carlos' attention to detail. Carlos made us feel very welcome and helped us choosing nice restaurants, shops for local produce and more. Our room (which was ment to be a 3p room,... More

I went to El Puerto de Santa Maria recently to attend a wedding. I found Casa de Huespedes and decided to stay there. Carlos (the owner) was very welcoming from the outset e-mailing in advance to provide answers to some questions that I had- this continued when I arrived and when i had questions during the trip. He was very... More

The name means 'Guest House', it's smaller than a hotel, so much more individually designed with cards and trinkets reflecting the owners' style. The guests' shared facilities really would have you believe that you are sharing the owners' home, rather than just a paying guest. Don't stay if you can bear chain hotels, it's at the opposite end of the... More

Casa de Huespedes Santa Maria is unique. On entering we were immediately taken by its individual charm and quirky decoration. The owner, Carlos, was welcoming, always happy to help and very cheerful. The rooms are of a good size and were kept very clean and tidy. The breakfast was good and all this for a very reasonable price. I stayed... More

If there was a charming Etsy hotel in your neighborhood, this would be it! Miriam is a trained interior decorator so the ambiance is warm, colorful, and makes you feel at home. I was taken by the scent of candles that you might find at an Anthropologie shop. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable about P Santa Maria and the nearby towns--so... More

This quirky and charming family-run guest house was perfect for my overnight stay in El Puerto mid-November. My room was on the ground floor at the back of the house, so not much light from the row of small windows just under the ceiling (presumably opening onto a patio), but it was brightly decorated in primary colours against white walls... Small, very cozy hotel. The owners are very nice and welcoming and speak English. The decorations and style of the hotel and rooms are great! Every detail is thought of. Close to restaurants and close to the terminal for the catamaran to Cadiz. And not unimportant for a hotel: the bed was very comfy!

Great, excellent and sweet retreat from other hotels. Extremely friendly owners who are very helpful. Perfect place for day excursions to Cadiz and the city. Free Wi-Fi in most rooms. Great internal design. I would recommend this place to everyone!
