I loved this hotel, quirky, charming and completely central, but down a quiet street. What more can you ask for! Loved everything about it, good value for money as well . I felt it was clean, nice staff. Good food, and would appeal to those with more cultured tastes. Interesting place to be too. The city is lovely and traditional,... More

A beautiful old building in a good location and that's where it ends. The rooms are tired and probably because of the age of the property the sound proofing non-existent. I don't mean from street noise, but the other guests and staff who given the way sound reverberates around the building are anything other than quiet. For us this culminated... More

Stayed here for 4 nights whilst attending the European Harley Davidson Rally. What a great historic hotel. We had a room overlooking the gardens & swimming pool which was really nice. The breakfasts were really good & couldn't be faulted. The bar was really excellent with good snack / bar food all reasonably priced. We would stay here again. Staff... More

Located down a sleepy street of El Puerto de Sta María, Spain, the Monasterio San Miguel Hotel is just what it says it is; a hotel that once served as a monastery. I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel while on a business trip to Rota, Spain (approximately 20 mins west of Sta Maria). From the exterior, the... More

We stayed at this hotel whilst going to the MotoGP in Jerez. Our room was at the front of the hotel and we did not know that we had a suite until we arrived. The room had a balcony over the cafe and was quiet. The furniture has an antique look and there are lots of religious artifacts around. It... More

Wonderfully calming atmosphere - those dear nuns who used to live here have left a wonderful feeling to the ancient building, now an upmarket hotel - not that you can forget that it was a nunnery with its exquisite masterpieces and decorations all over the beautifully presented hotel. What a great level of customer service for the price too -... More

English version We booked through voyage-prive, a great deal for a 4 star hotel. Our reservation: SUPERIOR double room with breakfast and welcome amenities. The public areas of the hotel are not bad, they need an overhaul as it seems that nobody has bothered to review details for ages: Walls chipped, worn paint, but nothing too out of place. The... Only stayed here for one night. We had a nice room with a small balcony. Staff were welcoming and overall the hotel was very nice. The only thing that spoiled it for us was the thin walls, we could here everything from the other rooms including the tv at 2am!

I used to live just down the road from this hotel and always imagined that it was one of the better ones in El Puerto. We stayed here for a few days at the end of March / beginning April in a standard double room The hotel was not full even though it was Semana Santa. It is quite a... More

A great stay in this converted convent, very close to many local tapas bars in the area. The conversion has retained many of the original convent items and there remains a slightly religious feeling to the place. The staff are professional and friendly. Would hesitate to recommend.
