Inside the old part of Cadiz but conveniently close to the parkings and the sea. Charming rooms, not the big luxury but sufficient. Beautiful building. Good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Very good location for evening walks in the old town.

We haven't visited Cadiz in 20 years so we wanted to stay in the middle of old Cadiz. As we knew it is the very old part of the city within an intensely populated area, we were looking for somewhere special to stay. By searching around Google and tripadvisor, my wife and I decided to give this hotel a chance.... More

Really enjoyed our overnight here... rooms smallish, but immaculate w/good free wi-fi & bfst. buffet (ample, varied w/eggs, ham, cheeses, etc.). The hotel's moorish-style decor is authentic and appealing; location perfect for walking tour of Cadiz highlights. A major plus is their friendly, bi-lingual staff (gracias, 'Lourdes' and 'Carmen') who are most helpful to guests. Really good value for quality.... More

I searched for hotels in Cadiz for quite a long time before settling on the Argantonio. Really glad that I took that time. It is in a great location in the old town, near enough to walk from the bus or train stations if that is your method of arrival. The rooms are really comfortable; the staff were extremely helpful... Excellent location in the heart of the old town of Cadiz. Easy to walk around the town with lots of bars and tapas bars very close. We were there just before Christmas so the town was decked out in Christmas decoration. Very enjoyable stay. Only had 1 night so didn't have enough time to see Cadiz fully. Will go back... More

Family stayed here in two rooms. Yes the rooms are small, and may seem outdated, but full of Spanish charm and are clean. Really great breakfast. Friendly reception and located in the midst of winding streets for meandering. Reasonable cost, so can not ask for more at the price and star rating.

Categorized as 2 stars, but with 5 star details. Don´t misunderstand me, do not expect luxury, but efficient and attentive personal service (isn´t that luxury after all?). For a short stay in Cadiz, this place is just perfect. Great location in the heart of town, and walking distance to major sites. Rooms have very nice details, good average size bathroom,... More

Overall a pleasant stay, and I would recommend it, despite some points of criticism. The hotel as a slight over-decorated and outdated feel, rooms are smallish and not in mint condition, but perfectly clean, and you get a lot of noise from other rooms and water pipes. These downsides however are balanced by very friendly staff, the central location on... More

We live just round the corner from this charming little hotel in a very quiet street in old Cadiz and we put our guests up there as our flat is very small. Without exception they praise everything about it, particularly the staff. Some of the rooms might be a bit small for a long stay, but I can't think of... More

This hotel was just as it said on the TA and Lonely planet reports. Full of character, particularly the reception and dining areas - just beautiful. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Also had tea/coffee making facilities in the room which is always a plus for us. Room was also full of character. Only criticism is it...
