Pension España is superbly located in the historic heart of Cadiz, just off the main square (Plaza San Juan de Dios). I stayed in a double room with shared bathroom for 40 Euros, which I thought was very good value, but I believe singles go for about 27 Euros. The place is clean and friendly and full of old world... Beautiful old Cadiz building with inner courtyard making the interior bright and airy. Location in Old Town was perfect, 1min from plaza San Juan de Dios, 2mins from Plaza Catedral and 10mins from the beach Playa Santa Maria. Bakery next door useful to pick up snacks or water supplies and Tourist Info point in Plaza San Juan de Dios. We... More

Great location! Lovely old building. Wonderful roof terrace! Room a bit characterless but clean & with all you need. Bed pulled up daily, towels changed. It's a pity that the wifi isn't available in the rooms... The Staff were very helpful. 'Twas great to be able to rent bikes by the hour there too!

Paying a very reasonable rate you do not expect luxury however this old Pension is situated in a really grand style of building with high ceilings which I like. The room I stayed in also had a kettle and cups etc which is most unusual in my experience of staying in less expensive places in Spain. I was housed in... More

This pension is a beautiful old Spanish building so you really have a lot of character and charm. Wifi is only available in downstairs lobby, not in rooms. Bathrooms are VERY small, shared and separate (shower on one end of the hall, toilet on the other) but we never had to wait to use one. There was a sink &... More

This pension in old Cadiz is very charming, though our individual room was bit characterless. The walls also seemed a bit thin, but there was no problems trying to sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location cannot be better.

we arrived lately in cádiz (after midnight), therefore, we decided to get a room quickly in the casco histórico. the pensión españa had a room for us for 40 euro with a communal bathroom. the toilet wasn't included though (??), actually we didn't find one inside of the bathroom. the furnishing of the room was very simple, one of the... Ideal place for a romantic trip! Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Very clean, wonderful fresh smell when we entered the Pension. Nice and helpful service. We felt in the place as at home. Great value for the price.

I liked this pension: good budget fare, very central, friendly staff, clean. I stayed in a tiny single room on the ground floor with some street noise and a bathroom a floor below. It was clean and fine but I would definitely prefer to have stayed on one of the upper floors. As people say: thin walls, a little noisy,... More

The location is excellent very close to the cathedral and town hall. I was very satiesfied with the room which we got. The own bathroom was small but the room was spacious, clean and beds confortable. The receptionsts were always very nice. The only negative thing was thin walls .. we could hear all noise from hallway, but there was... More
