No, having just come from The Ritz in Madrid, the Mezquita was a bit lacking in the luxury department. That makes it a good money-saving option for those who have chosen to splurge elsewhere. For me, the beds were too hard and the noise too loud - our room was on the 3d floor and although not directly on the... More

Although old, the hotel is located right in front of the Mezquita and the rooms are spacious. You have to carry your bags up a floor but the service is extremely friendly. They even have lockers in case you want to leave your things after checkout.

Pretty hotel & great central location but parking impossible & in the loudest square near the Mezquita. It was incredibly noisy with busy nightlife & drunks singing outside all night long so impossible to sleep. Also amenities were incredibly poor- not even soap was provided!! Very annoying not to have basics like hair dryer & shampoos etc as parking is... More

Our second stay here & worth coming back to: right in the heart of the old town with lots of rooms facing the east side of the Mezquita, minimal traffic noise given the traffic restrictions (or you can get an inside room onto a courtyard), plenty of character to the internal courtyards and the old furniture in the public areas,... A hard-to-beat experience right in the heart of Cordoba, just metres from entrance to the Mezquita and beautifully capturing the romance and atmosphere of its location. Room was a good size, very clean and very quiet (next to no vehicular traffic in the narrow street). The hotel itself is built around a central courtyard in traditional Andalusian style and was... Lovely old villa has been refurbished & is very comfortable. We had room 9 with a window on the courtyard where breakfast is served. Very quiet, large bathroom. Staff was very helpful and all spoke very good English. Note that you cannot drive to the hotel without getting a ticket. The hotel receptionist called the police station for us as... More

Amen to what all the other reviewers have written. This hotel is in an old, beautifully-preserved building across the street from the Mezquita-Catedral. My friend and I had Room 11 (if I remember correctly), which has 4 single beds, so we had plenty of room. The desk clerk during the day spoke English fluently, and the night clerk that spoke... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Mezquita for 3 nights during my visit to Cordoba. The hotel is situated right in the heart of the old town just a few steps away from the entrance to the Mezquita. The staff was professional and helpful. The room albeit small which is often the case in Spain was clean, quiet... More

We bused in from Granada then took a short taxi ride to the hotel right across the street from the Mezquita. It is so centrally located and near many of the other old town sights in Cordoba including the Alcazar, old Jewish quarter and the Torre de la Calahorra among others. The hotel itself was very neat, simple and clean.... More
