Good hotel, located about 10 minutes walk from town center and from a lovely park near the Ilm river. Lovely room with high ceilings and very quiet. Free water in room provided, free parking, ( if available) and free tea all day at reception, very welcoming. Breakfast choice was excellent and very fulfilling.

This hotel was recommended to us by a local and proved a very nice base for a few days exploring Weimar and surrounds. For a very reasonable price, we had a spacious and comfortable room. The included breakfast was generous and almost a work of art as it was laid out beautifully in the dining room. Very convenient in location,... More

Weimar really is a lovely place, even in cold January. And this hotel is perfect for a couple of nights. The real luxury is the size of the room - it is so spacious. We had the balcony room which is splendid. It is Germany, so the heating works and the shower doesn`t flood the bathroom. I`d like a little... More

We booked a room at the Hotel Villa Hentzel on the spur of the moment. To be honest, we only booked there because we couldn't find anywhere else closer to the center of town to stay. We were very pleasantly surprised, and felt like queens when we opened the door to the room. (We had been staying in hostels until... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Villa Hentzel. We could easily park our car in the parking. It's not a hotel with character, rooms are modern, bathrooms are very small, but the plus of this hotel is the wonderful staff. We were welcomed by a very nice lady, who gave us a lot of tips (including the good place... More

Although one of the hotels appearing to be furthest from the city centre (in the Michelin Guide), Villa Henzel is only five minutes walk from many of the main sites, and less to the Liszt House. The building is elegant, with high ceilinged rooms and attractive decor. On the down side, the breakfast room is small and in fact not... More
