The Amalienhof is pretty, comfortable, and has both charm and character. It is very good value. It has a perfect location for visiting the main attractions in Weimar on foot. Once a 19th century noblewoman's house, the rooms and hallways are handsome and well proportioned, and ours had lovely Biedermeier furniture. The bathroom was small. Parking is free, the buffet... We spent four nights here ... good geographical location, but noisy on the street. Staff kind and helpful, breakfast decent, but pretty much the same each day. Although we upgraded to the comfort room, we found it small, especially the shoebox bathroom which had no amenities, not even soap.

Went with my husband for one night. Staff was nice, rooms were clean and big with a flat screen tv. For 6.50€ extra each we enjoyed a long very yummy breakfast in buffet style. If ever in Weimar again we would book the same place. Parking was free too.

I stay in hotels a lot and always judge them on how comfortable the beds are and the quality of the wifi. To be honest neither are great in this hotel but it is still one of the better hotels I have stayed in, simply because of the friendliness of the staff and the attention to detail. It is a... More

We stayed at this hotel one night during our trip, and had booked two rooms. The price was very good, we were very happy with our stay. The location of the hotel is great, next to Goethe's house and since Weimar is a small town it makes only sense to stay in the center. It is at walking distance of... More

I loved this hotel. My room was a single but was spacious. It even had a chaise lounge and the bed was comfortable. The shower was great. There were a number of lovely antique pieces of furniture in the hallways. The breakfast room was really nice and the buffet was delicious. You could even have eggs cooked to your taste.... More

This hotel is a gem! The location is central, close to the historic Altstadt, but you do not need to worry about parking: it is free in the yard. I was here one night with my wife, travelling north. The personnel was very friendly and helpful, the room large and well furnished. The bathroom is small, but adequate for the... More

In my case, because of my early start, they have served me a great breakfast at 5 am.Un reliable reference point in returning Weimar.

We stayed there for one night on our way back from Berlin to Frankfurt Airport. For 70 EUR, it was well worth the money. The room was big (though the bathroom was a bit small) and tastefully decorated, and the staff was friendly. The price included free parking behind the hotel (ask staff on how to find it) and buffet... More

Not really hotel but a very good bed and breakfast. Lunch or dinner is not available, but the breakfast buffet offers a great selection of breads, jams, cheese and cold meets. Serving staff are polite and very observant. The hotel has a great location, right on the edge of the centre of town, with access to all the major sights... More
