We stpped here for two nights in July 2014. The room was excellent, the food good and the staff welcoming. One thing to note - on quiet nights there is nobody on reception overnight. At a weekend the conference guests go away and it is a really good place to be. Excellent walk to Schloss Gottorf.

Spent four nights at this hotel, and met all expectations. Very nice location although without a car a bit too far to walk into local town. Excellent choice at breakfast and evening meals never disappointed, and not miniscule portions like some ! Stayed in the main building where reception is and found room very quiet. Excellent free Wi-Fi and overall... More

We’d intended this only as a stopover night on our way to Sweden, but found the hotel and its facilities so inviting we stayed an extra night. This hotel is part of the Ringhotel group, so I'm not sure why it isn't listed under that in Tripadvisor. The spa area is lovely and the Russian sauna set in beautiful gardens... More

We go to this place when we want to calm down and relax! The hotel has many qualities, and one of them being the environment and the silence. The friendliness and the level of service is much more than you could expect, truly a home away from home, so - yes - we still like it! Remember that the pool... More

After a long drive from the south of Germany, the Jacuzzi was lovely! The whole spa area invites you to relax - in style! But remember that you are in Germany, where they do not worry too much about wearing swimming costumes! After that, and a walk in the nearby wood, we were ready for dinner. What a treat! Absolutely... More

I stayed here as the hotel is advertised as a wellness vacation. The room was pleasant, though the individual soaps etc that one normally gets were missing. We had dinner at their special restaurant and it was very good. the spa was overcrowded and there was no attendant. The tea and water which were advertised were never refilled and the... More

The Waldschloesschen breakfast buffet is my personal gold standard by which all other breakfast buffets in Germany are judged. The quality of food presented to their diners is excellent. The panoramic window looking out on a farm pasture also adds to the serenity of breakfast here. The staff has always been friendly and usually remembers my name. Guests have use... More

Our stay at this hotel was a last minute booking for one night. The staff were happy to take the booking and there were no prbplems there. The whole hotel was a big supprise and it was not too far from the centre. The staff spoke English and the room was very nice. Modern bathroom, opening windows with a nice... More
