In December 2013, my fiancé and I stayed at Hotel F-Ritz for a short stop-over on our way from Copenhagen/Denmark to Bremen/Germany. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our one-night-stay. Our room (6) was spacious with a big double bed. It was nicely decorated with many lovely details. There was a big closet as well as a desk. The... More

We were so looking forward to a relaxing stay in this lovely area after spending time in Hamburg city, and we were not disappointed! F-Ritz is a charming and really comfortable hotel, with an English speaking owner who could not have been more helpful and welcoming. Our room was up an easy flight of stairs, very spacious, clean, with modern... More

The hotel might in the first place be difficult to find, since the street next to the hotel is a one-way street. As far as I know, this hotel is owned privately which we liked in this small German town. We spent one night in this hotel on our way back to the Netherlands. The rooms are recently new, if... More

We were travelling to Norway and we spent one night in this hotel and really enjoyed it. A beautiful and clean bedroom with a private terrace, the beds were comfortable. The owners told us about attractions in the area. It was a sunny day, so we ate at the 'Patio' in the village.

Very friendly place - warm welcome, good English spoken, free wifi, big German breakfast included. About 15 mins walk from amazing Schloss museum, 10 mins from train station, 25 mins from Viking museum but probably about an hour walk from historic town centre so you'd need a car really (tho there are a few good places to eat near the... My hubby & I spent one night here and really enjoyed it. This hotel was clean, the beds were so comfortable and the owners are so nice. They offered us a map at check in and pointed out a walking trail that would take us to the other side of town. She suggested good places to eat and told us... More

Big thanks to my Tante Gudrun for finding this place...a gem with pleasing design, good service, and tasty breakfast in a light-filled space. Owners are great at getting you pointed in the right direction for bike rides (perfect terrain for it), and 'Gosch's Gasthof' made an excellent dinner-spot, with a nice variety of choices (including traditional 'Gulasch Suppe'). By far... More

We just spent a nite at this rather unusual place not far from Schleswig town. We attended a concert at the Gottdorf Castle Chapel, called Gottdorf Court Music. If I am not mistaken the B&B name was taken from the word "Fritz", german short for Friedrich. It was Duke Friedrich III of Holstein Gottorf who inhabited the castle in the... More

This hotel offers good value for money. It feels like a design-hotel-Bed&Breakfast-hybrid. The rooms are modernly designed, extremely clean, and make you instantly feel at home. The breakfast is a little highlight. You can sit and enjoy your morning as you like, even if the official breakfast time is over. Throughout the day you might help yourself to a coffee,... More

Spent 3 nights in this lovely little gem of a hotel. Breakfast on the top floor, fresh and varied menu. Very few rooms in a quiet street, felt like home away from home. Close to the very nice town of Schleswig, the museum of Danewerk and the Haithabu Viking village.
