I decided to stay at the Parkhotel Meissen when I was visiting Leipzig and Dresden, since it was a reasonable distance to do day trips to both cities. The location of the hotel, like other reviews stated, was excellent. Within just over a 1 kilometer walk and across the river from the main area of Meissen where the Cathedral is... More

Stayed here during a quick trip to Meissen and I can't complain! The staff was friendly and the room was big and clean with a super view. It's not located in the center of the town but its great location allows you to enjoy both, great view and a 10 min walk to the town center. Would definitely stay here... More

The good: After being rebooked from the Hotel Goldener Löwe, which is located in the city center due to the damage of the floods this summer to this hotel we found ourselves in a nice, spacious junior suite for smokers with views over the Elbe river. The breakfast buffett was good and plentiful, the staff was generally always friendly. The location... More

As other reviewers wrote, there is quite a bit of construction going on at this hotel, which is supposed to last for another year. Thus it's not as nice as it could be with a few inconveniences created by it, but still an ok place to stay. The hotel is located at the river Elbe across the old town, which... More

The hotel was lovely, rooms were spacious and wifi was available. A quick walk to town. We arrived right after the flooding and saw alot of the damage, and folks all working together to get things back in order. Breakfast was a buffet. Large group of travelers was also there, so a bit noisy at meal time, but good service... More

I loved this place, the history of it, the facade (Meissen porcelain) the cleanliness, the view, the breakfast, the evening meal, everything. If you are ever in Meissen stay here. It's only a five minute walk to town but better than staying in the town because you get to see the castle/cathedral out of your window. :-)

If you like a hotel which primary purpose is accommodating groups of (elderly) people, groups on training sessions you are in the right place. It is a place of missed chances: the location is lovely, on the banks of the river Elbe with a view to the ancient town of Meissen, the main building is attractive on the outside, but... More

We stayed at the Meissen Mercure in Sep. 2006 and had the most incredible room ever. The hotel is situated on the Elbe river and our corner room #15 had French doors/windows on two sides that overlooked the river. The view from the bed was of the Meissen palace and cathedral (see pic.). The room was perfect with white starched... More
