This hotel seems very unimposing from the outside but it has everything a traveler could want. The location was very convenient to either walk or take a tram to the main sights in Leipzig. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Our room was comfortable and modern; we were there in October and were able to have windows open at... More

I stayed a couple of nights and this hotel was everything I wanted and I have no faults. I first arrived the day before I was due to stay as my luggage had done astray and the airport would not deliver it to a field where I was camping out as part of the 200th anniversary of the Battle of... More

Stayed in this hotel for three nights to visit the city Leipzig and to attend the Bruce Springsteen concert in the Red Bull arena. Basic hotel, friendly staff. we had a very small room at the garden side which is less noisy but it was pretty hot weather and the hotel has no airco so we had to open both... More

Markgraf is a good value hotel, with large clean rooms. There is no air conditioning, which is a problem in hot weather, especially if you have a room on the street side, which can be noisy with the windows open. It serves breakfast, which is OK. It has a small garden, but no indoor sitting room. Good, cheap restaurants and... More

This comfortable little hotel is in the cool artsy district of town. A stones throw from the S bahn Sud Platz (go left towards town and then right onto Kornerstrasse you'll see the Hotel sign) Its really close to nice restaurants and only a 5 minute s bahn to town or a 20 minute walk. The room is basic but... More

Lovely family-run hotel. It very cloose to the the tram which will take you to the old town in five minutes (or a 20 min walk). Very nice and safe neighborhood full of restaurantes and coffee houses, as well as alternative shops. Beautiful architecture in the area. It is not a boutique hotel, but it is very clean and the... My single room was as bright and cheerful as presented in the photos. Staff couldn't be better. Free internet, available sauna and some free parking available across the street (if you're lucky), otherwise reasonably priced parking on the hotel grounds. The location is about a 15 minute walk from the town center. There's an abundance of night life and reasonably... More

We had a great stay here over Easter. Leipzig is a good base not just for its own amenities, but good rail and road connections. We visited Dresden, Wittenberg, Weimar and Erfurt by train, and the Harz mountains and Dessau by car. The hotel is just off a fairly main road with lots of modestly priced restaurants etc, but we... I always thought that German hotels are spotless, but this hotel showed me that I was wrong. Not that our room was dusty, but the bathroom, cleaning wise, left a lot to be desired. The other thing you should consider is the curtains. They are so thin and translucent that someone may need a sleeping mask. On the other hand,... More
