We stayed in Hotel Kim for two nights so that we could spend a day exploring Dresden. Part of the reason we chose this hotel is that it is only a couple of minutes from the nearby autobahn that we were travelling along and there is ample free parking. We had a room on the first floor at the rear... More

The Kim Hotel is at the near end of the tram 7 line, it takes about 25min to Hauptbanhof station. Location is very quiet, room was very spacious and spotless, staff speaks english and they are very heplful. Breakfast is very good with plenty of choices. Only negative is no wi-fi in rooms (there were internet cables though). I would... More

The hotel has a nice staff and it is well maintained. The room was clean and big enough to accomodate 3 persons. One of the things that seemed a little too much was the location of our room. It was on the opposite side of the entrance, and we had to take an elevator, walk the entire length of the... More

The Kim hotel on the Gompitzer Höhe is an ideal hotel for a visit to Dresden when you travel in the region by car. The hotel has free parking facilities and you can leave your car there and take the nr 7 tram to the centre of Dresden (and even accross the river Elbe). The trip will take half an... More

This large, fairly new hotel has its own 20-minute tram stop to the Old Town and to the train station. Our breakfast was included and was fantastic including meats, cheeses, hot eggs, cereal, breads, etc. Champagne was available on Sunday. The front desk staff provided great directions to tourist sites; on-site restaurant had OK German food; there was a food... More

Park your car in the free parking garage and take tram #7 from the front door into town using a group Tageskarte for EUR 7.50. The trip to the Hauptbahnhof takes 30 minutes. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and spotless. The flat screen TV has an over abundance of channels including CNN and BBC. The included breakfest buffet is one... More

18th and 19th August, prepaid on a Great Escapes Battlefield tour with the War Research Sociey. The bedrooms were large, airy and roomy, the power shower was very good. We especially liked the security shutter on the window it cuts the light out very well.. The staff were polite, professional and efficent.

Large, airy, air conditioned comfortable and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast. Tram stops right outside and a day ticket which allows you to travel right into and around Dresden costs only 5euros. Restaurant and bar in the hotel complex offers a variety of food at a reasonable price.
