The Mondpalast hostel was really well located, in a nice neighborhood full of pubs, restaurants, shops... and not so far from the main touristic atractions at Dresde. My kids loved this place. It was right in the middle of Dresden's pub district. I can't really describe this place/think psycadelic hippies meet primary color funk. The sometimes surly staff was really helpfull with tips for going out at night and organizng bicycles for the free day. The only drawback is that it is pretty loud ALL THE TIME... More

I stumbled on this place by accident really, as the other hostel was booked. It has a funky cafe / restaurant below it. Amazing location in the very -trendy new town area - tons of cool bars and cafes, and a short tram ride or walk to the famous old town. Hostel is very clean, comfy beds, great hot showers.... More
