Picked this hotel because we didn't want to be downtown since we had a car. A little out of town but was easy to find. And the free parking was a nice benefit. The grounds are fantastic, It's an old estate converted to a hotel. The restaurant and bar are in an old building with great views of the Elbe... More

Just 5 min. driving from Dresden center, small & charming place with a GREAT restaurant. A large garden and 2 other "Schlosses" walking distance making it a perfect place for a culture & romantic weekend.Free parking in the yard and free WIFI all over and nice rooms. But the BEST is the restaurant. One of the best for long. Very... More

A bit of a fairy tale environment the one of Schloss Eckberg, whose elegant surrounding park, even on a rainy winter day, looks pretty amazing. So, plenty of picturesque corners and views to justify the price. At his internal, contrasting with the outer look, the rooms on the second floor are on the contemporary side of things with plain beige... More

The grounds, customer service, breakfast and views from this hotel may very well be enough reason to book it. It is very nice in these regards. However, we were a bit disappointed with our room as the carpets were exceptionally stained. We aren't normally very picky, but given the amount spent to stay here, we expected clean flooring! This was... More

this hotel is a historical place in Dresden and interesting for it's architecture and beautiful garden, a perfect place to escape from the daily routine and explore our roots, during your stay you can visit the historical and modern Dresden, take a cruise at the Elbe river, have a look at the art galleries (Gemaeldegalerie Alte Meister, Zwinger, Gruenes Gewoelbe),... The Castle and the park are astonishing, the staff caring and friendly. Our room was in the Kavaliershaus, that is a modern structure 100m from the castle main building. Everything was nice but it did not have that flair that I would have expected. The spa was the biggest disappointment: I went there on a saturday afternoon ( around 6)... More

We stayed in the Schloss Eckberg castle last week (be careful when you book as there are several buildings of accommodations here). After checking in at the registration building by the gate of the property, we were instructed to drive to the castle where we were met outside the castle by a gentleman who showed us where to park, took... My husband had stayed here previously for work and so on our recent trip to Europe wanted to take me to stay in a castle. We didn't prebook this trip simply made all our travel arrangements online as and when we decided to move on so booked the Kavaliers Haus from Prague with a few days notice. I wasn't disappointed.... I'd only been there for a formal dinner as part of a business event. The dinner hall was classic, and the food, delicious! The castle is located on the river, with a beautiful view of the old Dresden city beyond the river. The sunset was amazing, tranquil, to say the least.

The setting is gorgeous - you walk up a long driveway, past a large fountain, green, and voila! There's a castle. And you are staying in it. The castle itself overlooks the Alba, and the old city beyond. It's pretty special. The rooms are small, and the decor is a bit austere, but the staff was friendly, and the restaurant... More
