While exploring the area around Dresden on a Stadtrundfahrt Dresden sightseeing bus, we stopped for a lunch break at Schloss Eckberg hotel. Sitting on a bluff overlooking the Elber River, this is an unbelievably beautiful spot. The food was excellent and the staff outstanding. I highly recommend a visit.

This is the same review that I sent to Booking.Com. I booked two nights prepaid, non-refundable in their Annex building for 170 euros. On arrival, I was told that my room was in the castle building. I took this to be an upgrade and it was only after the clerk said breakfast was,of course, included that I asked that if... More

Dear Sir, I`m sorry, but your review and comments are incorrect. We and booking.com have the same position. On your original booking, you request for a room in the castle, not in the annex house. We have offered this per mail and on check-in, too. But the price for this higher categorie was too high for you, so that you... More

Only one night but castle room was luxurious and spacious. Dinner in hotel restaurant was good and dinner service/staff exceptional. Unfortunately terrace area was taken over by corporate meeting in the evening but it rained some so not too disruptive. Breakfast was adequate and morning coffee on the terrace was pleasant. Parking was limited in front of castle and wifi... More

This is a hotel situated outside of central Dresden. The hotel is made up of an old castlebuilding with restaurants overlooking the river, and a building with rooms placed 100 meters inland in the very beautiful hotel park. As the pictures will show the setting is very beautiful. During the 26 hours I spend there no less than three newly... More

Picked this hotel because we didn't want to be downtown since we had a car. A little out of town but was easy to find. And the free parking was a nice benefit. The grounds are fantastic, It's an old estate converted to a hotel. The restaurant and bar are in an old building with great views of the Elbe... More

Just 5 min. driving from Dresden center, small & charming place with a GREAT restaurant. A large garden and 2 other "Schlosses" walking distance making it a perfect place for a culture & romantic weekend.Free parking in the yard and free WIFI all over and nice rooms. But the BEST is the restaurant. One of the best for long. Very... More

A bit of a fairy tale environment the one of Schloss Eckberg, whose elegant surrounding park, even on a rainy winter day, looks pretty amazing. So, plenty of picturesque corners and views to justify the price. At his internal, contrasting with the outer look, the rooms on the second floor are on the contemporary side of things with plain beige... More

The grounds, customer service, breakfast and views from this hotel may very well be enough reason to book it. It is very nice in these regards. However, we were a bit disappointed with our room as the carpets were exceptionally stained. We aren't normally very picky, but given the amount spent to stay here, we expected clean flooring! This was... More

this hotel is a historical place in Dresden and interesting for it's architecture and beautiful garden, a perfect place to escape from the daily routine and explore our roots, during your stay you can visit the historical and modern Dresden, take a cruise at the Elbe river, have a look at the art galleries (Gemaeldegalerie Alte Meister, Zwinger, Gruenes Gewoelbe),... The Castle and the park are astonishing, the staff caring and friendly. Our room was in the Kavaliershaus, that is a modern structure 100m from the castle main building. Everything was nice but it did not have that flair that I would have expected. The spa was the biggest disappointment: I went there on a saturday afternoon ( around 6)... More
