We booked the Kavaliershaus ( and not a room at the Schloss ) but the breakfast was at the Schloss which was a short foot walk away. The room at the Kavaliershaus was ok, and matched what you would expect from a 3-Star hotel ( the Schloss has more stars though). The room was on two levels , the upper... More

The setting is gorgeous - you walk up a long driveway, past a large fountain, green, and voila! There's a castle. And you are staying in it. The castle itself overlooks the Alba, and the old city beyond. It's pretty special. The rooms are small, and the decor is a bit austere, but the staff was friendly, and the restaurant... More

Having researched staying in Dresden we chose the Eckberg for its apparent charm. Having booked online we subsequently found that the particular package we had requested was not available and was offered a Junior Suite in their adjoining property next to the castle. The building being very modern with a seating area on each floor the basement housing the gym... More

We had seen the schloss from the other side of the valley and learned that it had been converted to a hotel with a restaurant that the owner stipulated had to remain affordable for everyone, so stopped for afternoon tea during a drive. It was not so easy for parking, but the grounds and terrace are beautiful. We had coffee... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for our wedding anniversary. I ordered flowers and chocolates in advance but when we arrived the chocolates were missing. This mistake was soon sorted by the staff at reception together with an apology. Whilst the room was clean and worthy of a 4 star rating, one of the bedside lights did... More

We stayed at Schloss Eckberg for a nearby wedding. We chose the Kavaliershaus, which offered good value for a well-equipped, good size room. If I had any quibble, I might suggest that in cold or inclement weather the Kavaliershaus would be somewhat inconvenient, since what is a pleasant stroll to the castle in good weather (for breakfast, cocktails, or dinner),... It is now some years that I come with pleasure at the Schloss. Not far from downtown (by car). Unfortunately mostly in winter so I don't benefit from the park as much as I would like. I was outside the castle, in very agreeable room, new, clean, properly decorated. Personal are extremeley nice and forthcoming. Breakfast is great, and I... More

We stayed 2 nights at this Castle. Schloss Eckberg is a lovely hotel in a huge area. Hotel has a different buildings in this area for reception, restaurant and accommodation. Everything are perfect; rooms size is very good, breakfast is ver rich, staff are very kind, cleanliness is also very good. But hotel located little bit out of dresden. If... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and I cannot recommend the hotel high enough. We paid the extra to stay in the castle and had a room overlooking the Elbe. It was quite simply heaven! Great views of the Elbe valley and Dresden. Good place if travelling by car. Bus and tram into town is very easy to do. The... More
