An update in English on the ACHAT may be helpful. We stayed for 4 nights in April 2008 to see the city and hear the opera. The hotel is still excellent value for money – one of the best 3 star hotels we have stayed in. It is comfortable, clean, efficient and quiet with helpful staff and a good atmosphere.... more

Stayed at this hotel with my wife for two nights in October 2006. Paid 62 Euros/night without breakfast. The hotel itself is OK. Everything was spotlessly new and clean but soullessly German. The ACHAT is not at the best location in Dresden. It's on the Budapester Strasse-- around a 10 minute walk from the train station. The ACHAT is about 6 blocks walk from the main train station.The neighborhood is a mix of offices and apartments with a grocery store a block away.The brewry next door has very good food at reasonable prices. A good value! Excellent breakfast and a brewery next door where you can have great diner. Try to get a room on the back of the hotel because the front street (Budapester Str.) is noisy. Friendly staff; I will visit again in december 2004. more
