The hotel has been beautifully renovated ( classic and trendy mix) and the rooms are beautiful. The hotel is located right on the edge of the old city in a quiet area. The staff are very friendly but a bit slow. If service could improve this would be an outstanding place to visit a lovely city.

Now under new management, but even better than before. Excellently-located (quiet but central), very well equipped and updated rooms (our double was very large), but above all consistently friendly and helpful staff. And even in 39 degree heat, the aircon worked, which none of the other three hotels we stayed at in the region managed! Usual excellent German hotel breakfast... More

We got special price for the room with breakfast. Great room with big comfort. However, the air conditioner is not enough for summer. This 5 star hotel did not make us feel strange for being here (although we are not the luxurious traveler type). The breakfast is the best I even see. Variety of juices. Prosecco. Coffe, Capuccino etc. Just... More

Dresden is a wonderful little city, and there's no better place to stay than the Gewandhaus. Central, with easy access to everything a traveler would like to see; luxurious, while not spacious in room size; and excellent service, the staff falling head over heels to help. A wholehearted recommendation from me!

This is a completely renovated hotel previously known as the Radisson Gewandhaus but now owned by the somewhat inappropriately named Seaside Hotels. (TA readers should therefore treat with caution any review prior to 2015). It is very central with all the “must see” places in easy reach. Our annual citybreak sextet actually booked it before it re-opened and we must... More

The Gewandhaus was renovated completely in April 2015. It appears that no expense was spared as the rooms and public areas are extremely well done. The staff is courteous and very helpful in any way they can. We spent two nights here and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very close to the completely rebuilt beautiful old town Dresden... More

We stayed in December. The hotel is very central we walked to the Christmas markets which were literally a block away, just behind the hotel. There is a large shopping mall also. The room was very large, it fit the four of us just fine. The kids were on a pull out sofa but it was two single mattresses so... More

Very nice hotel, nice pool and quite important: parking. The parking has to be paid for, but nevertheless parking always comes at a premium in Dresden. The hotel is located just at the edge of the touristic centre with at least 10 restaurants in de neighbouring streets. The historic centre is only 10 minutes away. The only thing which is... More

The Radisson is a nice hotel and is in the process of renovating their rooms. We were in a room that hadn't been renovated yet. We were in room 118 which was still nice but a little tired. The furniture had nicks from several years of use. The large marble bathroom had a whirlpool tub/shower combination. One of the closing... More

Our stay was throughout great. I would highly recommend the hotel. Very friendly people, nice rooms, swimming pool and sauna. Breakfast was plentiful. the location is perfect, walking distance to all the main sights. Should I come back to Dresden again, I would definitely stay in Radisson again. Moreover the main train station is also not far away, so with... More
