I stayed here for a weekend as a solo traveler and to my great delight my single room was the size of a suite, including a sofa and a bathtub ! The people at the reception were friendly and the breakfast room is very charming with chandeliers and nice furniture in the ' olde German ' style ! The location... More

This is what hotels the elegant hotels in Germany used to look like. Unfortunately it's a bit past it's prime. There many things to like however. Our room was huge with a modern bath including a soaking tub. The free parking lot was large by European standards. The internet worked great. Breakfast was very well presented and all staff with... Very nice family hotel with friendly staff. Traditional hotel with carpet (tapis-plain) on the floors, very spacious rooms, good breakfast (eggs included, prepared as you wish). Everything is very clean, bathrooms & showers are excellent, beds sleep very well! I asked for a quiet room, and although the hotel is located between two noisy streets, everything was very quiet with... More

We love small, quiet hotels and the Hotel Bayerischer Hof was perfect! It was in a perfect location, close to the railroad station and convenient to trams. It was within walking distance to some very good restaurants and shopping. The room was large with a comfortable couch in the room. We asked ahead of time for a quiet room not... More

The Bayerischer Hof is very conveniently located an easy 5min walk from Dresden Neustadt station, and two different tram route stops into the Altstadt. It also has car parking. The decoration and furnishings throughout are traditional and tasteful. Staff were very welcoming. Our bedroom was well appointed and comfortable with a modern bathroom, a shower over the bath. Our room,... More

Having had to take a very early train from Dresden to Frankfurt, I stayed overnight in this hotel. First the basics: staff friendly and welcoming, clean, rooms large and comfortable, so everything works. The hotel is walking distance from a large area with ample shops, restaurants etc. What was extremely surprising and welcome is that when the check-in staff heard... More

I spent 3 nights in this hotel for a business trip to Dresden. The general comment is positive: my room was nice and clean. It was on the street side, but still acceptably noisy. The staff is kind, and the breakfast quite rich. The price reasonable. The location is good, being 10 min walking from the center (and from the... More

I spent two nights here on my first visit to Dresden and would definitely come back and recommend it to friends. the hotel is in the neustadt by the new station, not the main station as i first thought. but the location is great, away from all the tourists but you can get to the theater platz in less than... Very good location. Near a walking zone and a pleasant walk to old town. Near a bahnhof for those arriving via train but very little noise from the tracks. Clean. Quaint with character. Restaurant was closed for dinner (don't know if that is permanent). Many restaurants in the walking zone a few blocks away. Free but limited car parking. Friendly... More

We found this hotel via both Rick Steves and Priceline (unusual!). But, we booked directly with the hotel (usually the best method to get the best price!) and were happily upgraded to a huge room overlooking the central plaza. The hotel is immediately adjacent to the train station and the old City Wall, making it the best location in the... More
