I firmly believe this could be a fantastic hotel. It's close to Dresden Mitte on the trainline, very close to a couple of tram stops and within 5 minutes walk to the International Congress Centre. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms simple yet effective. And the cost is reasonable. However, as noted previously, this would be easily... More

This is a pretty good hotel actually. The location is quite advantageous (close to rail station Dresden Mitte, and 2 Tram lines). The Messe is 10 minutes on foot, and the center only 30 minutes. The beds are rather comfortable and clean, the carpet is also in good shape. The window is large and you can get fresh air easily.... More

In general the hotel is average. Clean rooms, clean and tidy bathrooms. BUT.... twin room is the same size as single, I found it quite small for two people. At least there was an electric kettle and tea, that made me happy. The breakfast was quite ok, no complains. The only thing that upset me is absence of decent free... More

The hotel was OK for one exception: No Wifi in the rooms. I visited the hotel for a conference, and I was greatly surprised the hotel charged 45 Euro for four days of Internet. For this price you get a very slow connection, barely useful for email, forget watching Youtube.

The name of the hotel is Dresden Altstadt (old city center) which confused us a little bit as we thought, the hotel is really in the Altstadt. But this was not the case. As we asked at the reception where we can find the 'Altstadt' the lady only pointed with her finger outside and told us to take the tram... More

A little recognized gem. Staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Hotel has a great location, especially if you're not afriad of public transportation. Sits beside the Altstadt and a quick street car to the center of things. Terrific breakfast; dinner was also good -- stuffed pork filet. Beds were firm and comfortable. Room clean and quiet. Never mind the nearby... More

If you are looking for a cheap hotel, clean and in a good location, go there. It is not bad at all, however.... Breakfast is expensive (12 euros), yet food is of cheap quality (sausages and scrambled eggs were terrible, greasy and spongy tasteless). Fruit was hardly there, not ripe. Everything, except muesli, would leave anyone with a well-developed taste... More

A very nice hotel near the sights of Dresden. We only had one day so the desk arranged bicycles for us to explore on. We rode 17 miles around the city and across the river covering much more that we could have on foot. The rooms were at least 4 star and very clean. Breakfast was very nice with many... More

This hotel is in a good location as it is about 10 minutes walk to the old city, and is not far from the new city as well where all the bars and clubs are. If you arrive by train it is important to go to Dresden Mitte rather than Dresden Hauptbahnhof, which we did and it was a long... More
