Perfect for business travel as well as any other trip. Room was really big with all necessary amenities one may in need of. Bathroom was huge, however toilet room small and not really comfortable. It was always cold in the room, though I put air conditioner on maximum. Breakfast is fine, seems like the hotel restaurant is also one of... More

This hotel was just fine for my recent business trip. It was clean and close to the train station. The view of the opera was beautiful from my room. The breakfast was fine. The front desk staff were relatively nice and helpful. I did have a couple of issues, though. The room doors did not have a peep hole or... More

This hotel is walking distance to the city of Chemnitz. It has a Lovely view of the Oper and the hotel is themed around music which is really lovely. There is one lift and the room i stayed in smelled a little of smoke...but all in all it was an easy hotel to stay in for an overnight in Chemnitz.... More

We had never been to this part of Germany before and wanted a city/hotel that was central to the many Christmas Markets in the Erzgebirge Mountains. This one was perfect. Hotel an der Oper is in a great location, a 5-10 minute walk to the City Center/Christmas Market. There are many restaurants and lots of shopping within walking distance. Parking... More

At Hotel an der Oper you find service like any other good hotel, but the atmosphere is in a positive way like a time journey about twenty years back to Karl Marx Stadt. The building itself, decor and service is relatively stiff, but still friendly. My room was very spacious and functional, breakfast average, but including everything you need. The... More

Rooms are light, clean, normal sized. No wireless Internet. Bathroom normal sized, Hallways have the atmosphere of an old school building. Location is great. Breakfast is nice. Parking a little inconvenient across the street.

Stayed here for one night on business. I had never heard of Chemnitz before and the business trip was hurredly set up as well. I found Hotel an der Oper through the good reviews on trip advisor and I was not dissappointed. Clean, well appointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. They all speak English well, which is useful for someone... More

Clean, not luxurious, but fine for what you pay. I would like to point out the outstanding breakfast which is above average for a 4star hotel. Staff is friendly. The single room I stayed in was practically furnished. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Ok for a business trip.

We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2013. Not a bad hotel if you are in Chemnitz for a few days. The hotel is opposite to the Chemnitz cathedral, musume and opera house. It is around 7 min walk to the old town, very central! We found breakfast is a bit plain but acceptable as it is part of... More
