Reasonable hotel for the price. Attached to Mexican rest. which was excellent and very friendly. Near the city center, walk about 10min, which was useful for shopping in the christmas market. Good room and clean. Breakfast buffet was good for a 2* hotel. Front desk staff surley but helpful as we needed some help with our sick car.
This one is below average in Ibis Hotels. Desk person could not speak english fluently. Wifi was not free in room seven it was advertised in hotel website. The courtesy PC in lobby was really slow. Breakfast not impressive. Many stairs to reach room (you have to read german to find your way). Room was not too bad.
Again my hesitation to staying in a chain hotel in Europe was unfounded. We had stayed in an Ibis in Frankfurt and were very impressed. The same here. Ibis Saarbrucken is centrally located and an inexpensive taxi ride from the bahnhof.
