We stayed here because of reviews and we weren't disappointed. One block from Porta Nigra and an incredible shopping area. Caught the Roman Train (9€) and saw many of Triers high points. Management Nancy - and her wonderful dog) were delightful and was very helpful in resolving an issue with breakfast being included. We recommend Hotel Paulin highly and will... More

This was a last minute reservation for us and it worked out well. Porta Nigra about 100 yards away and very convenient. They offered free underground parking and the breakfast was only 8 euro, and very good. Staff was friendly and spoke enough English for us to muddle through communication.

I never book in advance when on my motorbike but had researched that this hotel had secure parking. An easy to find hotel and when I pulled up the evening manager came out to greet me and to say that they had secure underground parking accessed by a lift, if I needed it. Very helpful receptionist, I planned to stay... More

Hotel Paulin is walking distance to everything, also has a supermarket next door which is open late! Nice place to stay, it was surprisingly big and well equipped for a 3 star hotel. Porta Nigra is 100m away as well as the main shopping district full of cafes, restaurants, shops, nice buildings and the cathedral! Hop on and hop off... More

We stayed at the Paulin for an overnight. First off, the service and hospitality of the staff was top knotch. And I don't mean like professional courtesy(which they still were anyway by default) but more like a genuine sense of hospitality usually seen more at B&Bs. The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfy. We have a baby, to which they... More

The hotel was overall clean and comfortable, though not luxurious. Breakfast was a good buffet. Parking was on site, Internet was intermittent. My laptop connected at around 80%, the iPad was only about 20%. Might have enjoyed a nightcap at the bar downstairs, but never saw anyone there. Most important was convenience to the local sights. Staff was friendly and... More

The location was very good for visiting the old town and they they had an adequate parking place as well. There was some revoation goin on in the hotel, but it did not bother us. What did bother a bit, was the combination of exceptionally warm weather and no air conditioning. The rooms were tidy, but a bit worn. The... More

We stayed as a couple at this hotel and found it to be an ideal location to visit the area, five minutes walk from the city centre and handily placed for the roads giving easy access to the Mosel valley and Luxembourg The hotel is accessed off a main road and a bonus is free garage, covered or open air... You can easily walk to the city center. Rooms are very basic - clean and comfortable. Parking is free. Breakfast is extra and cost 8 Euro. It was good and we thought it was worth it. There is a bakery and a grocery store next door which is very convenient. There is nothing really special about the hotel. They do... More
