I admit Trier seems to be a really expensive place to stay and busy. Thats why we ended up in this hotel at $230 Aus a night. It was more expensive than other places we stayed including the Hilton in Frankfurt and a 2 brm apartment in Oslo. It looked fine from the outside and the location is great (though... More

We stayed for one night. Found the hotel walking around the centre. We compared prices and for a very nice tip floor room with view, breakfast and wifi we paid €116. Considering the central place and the fact that very cheap looking hotels nearby charged the same (99€ plus 8€ each for breakfast) I'd say it was excellent. The breakfast... More

The hotel is a short walk from the central train station, and then a short walk to all the main tourist spots including the Ponta Negra, Dom etc. the rooms are reasonable sized, with nice bathrooms and hot showers with great pressure. The hotel served surprising good food for dinner and the breakfasts were great. Anything you want is there.... More

I booked a room at the Romischer Kaiser, last minute, and I was not disappointed at my choice. The hotel is just around the corner from the Porta Nigra and has free, gated, off-street parking just down the block (very nice, since it's located in the city center). My room was average sized and was decorated (as the entire hotel... More

This hotel is conveniently located and easily accessible from the train station which is about 600m away. It is next to one of the city's highlights, the Porta Nigra and in the Information Centre. The room was of decent size for a European hotel and I found the bed to be very comfortable although I do prefer larger pillows. The... More

We booked the Hotel in order to visit the Christmas market and only expected an average experience. We were pleasantly surprised; good sized very clean room, quiet despite our room facing the main road and easy free parking nearby. The real surprise was the Hotel restaurant which served very good food by friendly English speaking staff.

The hotel is located 1 block from the Porta Negra and the pedestrian area. They have secured parking about a block away from the hotel. We spent 1 Friday night there before we joined our Mosel River Cruise. The hotel was very accomodating allowing us to check out late at 4PM before we went to the boat. The hotel is... More

The Kaiser is located very near the iconic Porta Nigra and a short walk (8-10 minutes) away from the other attractions of Trier eg. the Basilica, museums, Imperial Baths, shops and restaurants. Although the room we were given was quite small, it was clean and the bathroom was perfectly functional and bright. Breakfast provided was more then adequate with tasty... More

The room was large and clean with wood floors and comfortable, firm beds. Good sized bathroom, with great shower and plenty of towels. Great location just near the Porta Nigra and pedestrian shopping areas. Our room had a balcony overlooking the main road and we slept with the doors open. Noise wasn't a problem as I sleep with ear plugs.... More

Great central location. Clean quiet room. A great plus was the large bathroom and we particularly appreciated the king-size shower and nice hard mattress (remember folks that soft mattresses are bad for you). The staff we came into contact with were agreeable, especially at breakfast, but, of course, I can't vouch for all of them. I have noticed that most... More
