Hotel was a recommendation from the main tourist office and it was located just outside the pedestrian mall areas. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. WiFi reception excellent on lobby area but the signal in the rooms is iffy. Breakfast spread very well done and the young man looking after us was very attentive and personable. The negatives were... Spent several days in Trier, visiting the "Dream of Rome" exhibition (also recommended). The hotel is well positioned (eastern part of the City center) as well for visiting the buildings and museums, as for shopping. The room was a "confort double room", so I can't state anything about the cheaper ones. The room number D has a little balcony, a... More

Absolutely the best. We stayed at a total of 8 hotels during our trip. 3 of them were planned. We found this hotel by accident but it was perfect. 8 minute walk to Walking zone. Great recommendation for wine probe at http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187394-d1955671-r143861863-Oechsle_Wein_Fischhaus-Trier_Rhineland_Palatinate.html parking was great, beds were solid. towels bring your own. Breakfast was served and ready with chef making... More

The location is just outside the town center, within walking distance to Porta Nigra, shoping and lots of restaurants. We were three familymembers and had booked a family room. At arrival we were upgraded to a two bedroom suite with bathroom, which was perfect. The staff was helpful and nice. They parked our car just outside the entrance at a... More

The location of the hotel was close to everything in the Old Town, the historical sites, shopping and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the staff mostly helpful, given my German wasn't extensive. There was a coin operated laundry located just next door which was great for me particularly as there were English instructions to make life easier. A... More

We welcomed by a helpful gentleman who showed us our parking space and gave us information about Trier. The parking was on site and cost 7 Euros. Our room was quite big, with a separate dressing area with fridge and chair. The beds were comfortable and bathroom OK, apart from the bath being a bit high and difficult to get... More

The hotel lies just outside the nice centre of one of the oldest towns in Germany. The room was very basic with no frills, a bit dark and warm. There was a large fan close to the bed. There was a desk and a large TV with mostly German channels and CNN. There was free coffee and tea, wine and... More

At first impression, I was worried about this hotel, but when we got inside it was clean, maintained, and had a friendly staff. They also offer "family rooms" which was two separate rooms with one bathroom. The rooms decor was simple and what I expected from a "budget" hotel but it didn't matter much since it was clean and had... More

The hotel offers completely reasonable accommodation in the centre of Trier and is well placed for visiting the wonderful town. We were offered a garage for 10 Euros which is very handy if you want peace of mind and not have to worry about emptying the contents of your car when travelling
