The hotel was in a good location, quick walk to the main shopping/sights/restaurants. Our small room looked like it hadn't been updated since the 1970s--it was clean, but quite dated. My husband and I spent 2 nights at the Hotel Astoria and loved every minute of it. The owners, Paula and Sadhir could not have been more gracious and welcoming. The rooms and bathroom (which looked like they had recently been remodeled) were exceptionally clean, inviting and quiet. We booked the hotel via their website and got a confirmation email stating "This is a confirmation", and detailing the fees for late cancellation or no show. Of course it said "please inform us if you are arriving after 6 pm", but the confirmation email didn't show the hotel's phone number. We arrived at the hotel at 8,30 pm just... more
