Good service, loved the fact that the minibar actually had very good wines from Schloss Johannisberg and the room had a roomy terrace/ veranda. Spacious room, bit outdated bathroom but clean, very good breakfast and good dinner food (outside on the terrace). Quiet and lovely park like surroundings.

No A/C like normal German hotel but the fan in my room didn't work in the heat of summer. Bed was comfy, bathroom outdated, room outdated as far as furnishings. The grounds are amazing, there is an indoor pool, sauna and roof top jacuzzi that I loved. The birds and animals and aquarium are a definate plus. The beer garden... More

Had to visit Mainz because of a meeting. I always prefer off-center quite locations. The hotel is very nice, with spacious public areas. it is located in a green area, very close to the river. It has a friendly staff, large and clean rooms, with a pleasant view (even from my room that faced the street, the other side should... More

On arrival at the Faborite Parkhotel in Mainz the greeting at reception was at best perfunctory. We were directed to our room- up 8 steps, along a corridor through two sets of double doors - over a bridge, find a lift and ascend one floor - find the room. As I opened the room food a blast of heat hit... More

Visited late June with a Titan group, nice friendly hotel, clean, with friendly staff. Room large, with a pleasant view. Only downsides were the light penetrating curtains, and the noisy trains. Dinner was good and plentiful, we took the cheap option of the bar menu which was well presented. Seven of us enjoyed the evening, and were visited by the... More

Family owned and managed. Definitely a modern feel to to this place. Beautifully appointed and investment lavished on it. Bedroom was very comfortable with a view over the park to the River Rhine. Quiet location? Well...the downside is that although it is in a park it is within a couple of hundred yards from the rail line which did tend... More

Good hotel, good, food, good beer, quiet location. Quite a big hotel which takes a wee bit of getting used to, but once you get orientated its fine. Strange bathroom with no door an window into bedroom, but quirky and didn't detract from the stay.

Stayed there for the second time and would certainly return. Had a superior room quite spacious .It is true that you can look at the bathroom from the room but I travelled " single" ! .The toilet is separate and the clost is rather small but I have seen much smaller ones in big , expensive chain hotels. The restaurant... More

I have to say that I was really pleased after my stay at this hotel. The location is excellent as they are not that far from the Römisches Theater train station. This is quite convenient since from Frankfurt airport you can reach this station in about 30 minutes. It could be a little tricky to find, but it helps if... More

lovely room (although the window above the bath between the bathroom and bedroom may not suit all) overlooking the park. the pool is rather a lounging around in pool than a swimming pool but was empty and I would have liked time to spend in it! The gym was disappointing, the gym was half a room overlooking the roof with... More
