3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

There is is an old and a new part. We stayed in the old part which is renovated, too, but still has the touch of the old 80's. The new part of the hotel hosts the reception, a lot of design, and the new rooms, all very nice. The hotel is very clean and everything is well maintained. The bar... More

Stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and there were some very good sides and some less desireable sides to this. I got a room with great wievs over the rivers; Rhine right in front and Main branching off. Very nice. The disadvantage of this is the trainline in between the hotel and the river. German trains are frequent and... More

This hotel was out of the city centre and was very spread out and seemed to have endless corridors, stairs and function rooms. I didn't like the feel of it, especially when I had to go down one long, dark corridor then outside a locked door to a sort of open stairwell, then in another shorter corridor not locked-off just... I've been staying in this hotel for three days a night since April 2014 due to work and I can honestly say it's one of the best hotels I've stayed in, the service is great, the people are very friendly and helpful also the beer kutscher which is the bar there the food is awesome and the bar staff. If... More

A big hotel in beautiful location. There are some newly renovated rooms and old ones. Like in most german hotels you will find the thick carpet on the floors. Nice restaurant, very nicely decorated, but the food is german of course. If you like gravy and a lot of fat food..this is the place to be. Service is ok, but... More

We where here already 3 times and every time it is great. I don't understand the rate of 70% for this hotel. People are friendly, the hotel is superclean and great rooms (ok we where at the executive 5th floor, so maybe this makes a difference) The restaurant is quite expensive, but for this quality I think it is normal.... Very nice hotel just located near the big park...The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is excellent. You can walk outside inside the park for fun. Located 10 minutes away from the main train station of Mainz. But it would be better to take taxi if you have luggage to carry on. Rooms are ok but TV channels are currently not... More

I had to stay here as due to an international conference, my usual stock of hotels in the centre of Mainz were all booked out. This hotel is not easy to find if you want to use public transport. On the website it states that bus 60 stops at 'Favourite Hotel" so you could be fooled into thinking it must... More

Stayed at the Favorite Parkhotel in Mainz the evening of Friday, 5 September 2014. Was there visiting the Mainz and the River Rhine. We arrived in the middle of the wine festival, held in the park annually. The room was neat as a pin and clean. The only complaint that I have is the wifi access (still have to conduct... More

We stayed here some 18 months ago, during our tour of Germany, and what concerns me is the lack of postings on the beautiful little hotel. On reflection it was probably the best of the hotels that we stayed in. I marked this hotel at 5 simply because of the service and welcome. The gardens outside the breakfast and bar... More
