I had to stay here as due to an international conference, my usual stock of hotels in the centre of Mainz were all booked out. This hotel is not easy to find if you want to use public transport. On the website it states that bus 60 stops at 'Favourite Hotel" so you could be fooled into thinking it must... More

Stayed at the Favorite Parkhotel in Mainz the evening of Friday, 5 September 2014. Was there visiting the Mainz and the River Rhine. We arrived in the middle of the wine festival, held in the park annually. The room was neat as a pin and clean. The only complaint that I have is the wifi access (still have to conduct... More

We stayed here some 18 months ago, during our tour of Germany, and what concerns me is the lack of postings on the beautiful little hotel. On reflection it was probably the best of the hotels that we stayed in. I marked this hotel at 5 simply because of the service and welcome. The gardens outside the breakfast and bar... More

Good service, loved the fact that the minibar actually had very good wines from Schloss Johannisberg and the room had a roomy terrace/ veranda. Spacious room, bit outdated bathroom but clean, very good breakfast and good dinner food (outside on the terrace). Quiet and lovely park like surroundings.

No A/C like normal German hotel but the fan in my room didn't work in the heat of summer. Bed was comfy, bathroom outdated, room outdated as far as furnishings. The grounds are amazing, there is an indoor pool, sauna and roof top jacuzzi that I loved. The birds and animals and aquarium are a definate plus. The beer garden... More

Had to visit Mainz because of a meeting. I always prefer off-center quite locations. The hotel is very nice, with spacious public areas. it is located in a green area, very close to the river. It has a friendly staff, large and clean rooms, with a pleasant view (even from my room that faced the street, the other side should... More

On arrival at the Faborite Parkhotel in Mainz the greeting at reception was at best perfunctory. We were directed to our room- up 8 steps, along a corridor through two sets of double doors - over a bridge, find a lift and ascend one floor - find the room. As I opened the room food a blast of heat hit... More

Visited late June with a Titan group, nice friendly hotel, clean, with friendly staff. Room large, with a pleasant view. Only downsides were the light penetrating curtains, and the noisy trains. Dinner was good and plentiful, we took the cheap option of the bar menu which was well presented. Seven of us enjoyed the evening, and were visited by the... More

Family owned and managed. Definitely a modern feel to to this place. Beautifully appointed and investment lavished on it. Bedroom was very comfortable with a view over the park to the River Rhine. Quiet location? Well...the downside is that although it is in a park it is within a couple of hundred yards from the rail line which did tend... More

Good hotel, good, food, good beer, quiet location. Quite a big hotel which takes a wee bit of getting used to, but once you get orientated its fine. Strange bathroom with no door an window into bedroom, but quirky and didn't detract from the stay.
