It is always difficult when booking accommodation to envisage what you will find,Rockhaye is all everyone has written about it and more.I would liken it to having your Mum and Dad back again spoiling you for a few days, giving you such a lovely welcomed feeling nothing too much trouble for them. You would be hard pressed to find all the... Our second stay here was just as good as the first. A log fire awaited us on arrival, with tea and home-made biscuits a very welcoming touch. We availed ourselves of Fred and Maggie's offer to drive us to and from The Mason's Arms restaurant, about 7 miles distant, so we were both able to enjoy a glass of wine... More

Having lunched with old friends in Dartmoor we had decided to stay in during the evening and bring in a snack and a bottle of wine, all agreed with Fred in advance. On arrival the fire had been lit, plates and wine glasses provided. Fred welcomed us with tea and delicious fruit cake, baked by Maggie - a great start.... More
