We really enjoyed our stay at the Contel. We paid a little extra for a room with a mini kitchen which we were very pleased with. Please note if you do have such a room there isn't a kettle or coffee and tea making facilities. We had taken our own travel kettle so it wasn't a problem. The bedroom was... More

This hotel is situated in a very nice area and has a lovely holiday feel to it. The decor is quirky, inside and out, but I found this rather pleasant, welcoming and homely in strange way. We were happy enough with our room on the 5th floor despite the fact that it was warm during our visit to Koblenz and... More

Wife & I stayed for two nights in early June. First impression was very good - rooms are not just rectangular concrete boxes, some thought has gone into making them more interesting. In fact a lot of thought seems to have gone into the construction & decoration of the hotel to make it interesting. Rooms are a good size, with... More

Traveled to Koblenz for work from the US. They offered Govt rate. The rooms were always immaculate, very comfortable. The beds are small and hard compared to what most Americans are accustomed to, but I personally prefer those beds. I slept great and the walls offered sufficient sound proofing. It is a quirkly designed hotel, so no room is the... More

I stayed here for 2 nights on business and had an enjoyable experience. The hotel is a bit of a mix of décors with some strange artefacts but, it is comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant offers mainly German fare with lots of potato options but not many other vegetable choices. I asked if they had a... More

I really liked this hotel. The hotel was not expensive, but had a nice degree of luxury to it. Beautiful on the inside, with a nice bar area and delicious food in the restaurant. The single room I had was wonderful. The staff was superbly friendly and helpful. Located on the banks of the Mosel River, a 20min walk to... More

We had a 2 night stay, satisfactory on most counts. Beds are comfortable, very quiet neighborhood. It's a walk to the main city center but doable.big pluses are free parking & free wi-fi in rooms. On the minus side, poor room lighting & no morning coffee. The staff is friendly & helpful.

We weren't too sure about the hotel from the outside but fell in love with the overall interior decor, restaurant and the rooms. We had a larger room for our family- including our 3 year old. He slept on the pull out sofa which was separated from our sleeping area by a thick wall. Note: There is an extra charge... More

An odd looking hotel which may not necessarily meet your expectations of a four star hotel when you arrive with a bright colourful exterior. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we got inside and the staff made us feel welcome straight away. The rooms were large, clean and well presented with a small balcony (although no view to speak of).... More

We stayed here for two weeks in August and were pleased to see a large electric fan in our large room, which was one of the few benefitting from a small balcony. There was a kitchenette with two electric hotplates and a sink, also a small sitting area with a sofa and large desk. The bathroom was a very good... More
