I stayed hear for one night as a stop over whilst driving back from Italy to the UK with my wife and 2 teenage sons. We had a family room that had a nice bathroom, great sitting area, sofa and 2 chairs with English TV. The master bed was very comfortable and the second bedroom had 2 single beds and... More

Frequent guest with varying group sizes. The staff of this wonderful hotel not only provide a wonderfully well appointed property, patient multi-lingual staff patient with those practicing their German, and always ready to provide a helpful recommendation on how best to enjoy their community.

The staff make you feel at home and are always willing to help. They speak perfect English. The rooms are comfortable & the restaurant food is fantastic. It's not far from K-town. The only downside is the fitness room. It is a bit outdated. There is no elevator so pack light - especially if you are on the third floor... More

We stayed here our first night in Germany. Wow! Our room was beautiful and the restaurant Delicious! Our dinner was perfect and breakfast the next morning was phenomenal! We will definitely be staying here on our way to Paris in a few months. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

This hotel is about a $10 euro ride from K-Town's downtown but enough away from it all to feel secluded. Our group was just here for a day but the rooms were quiet and clean. A nice mix of 150yr old tradition with modern conveniences in the rooms. The restaurant downstairs was also very good as we are lunch and... More

Stayed for 12 days. We arrived at the hotel well before check-in time after travelling for 24 hours. We were not sure how receptive they would be to allowing us to check in early, especially as they informed us they had been at full occupancy the night before. However, they checked if any of the rooms were available and sent... More

It wasn't all "smooth sailing", but overall it was a pretty good stay. The rooms are small according to American standards but normal according to European standards. When we asked, we were transferred to a suite as soon as one was available. The staff was wonderful. Everyone from front desk to restaurant waiters to housekeeping were ready to help in... More

Stayed here for two weeks. It is a quaint hotel, no ac, but then i've learned that not all places have AC, so I adjusted to that right away by leaving the window propped open to let some of the night cool temperatures in. the hote was nice, the onsite restaurant was very good, each time I ate here I... This hotel, is rather large, consisting of three, perhaps four buildings. We had reserved a junior suite, but upon arrival, we found ourselves in an extremely small room, typical of many German hotels. The desk personnel, upon our request, bumped us up to a suite, which although quite large, wasn't worth the 190 euros, particularly since the 24"x24" shower was... More

Where do I begin? From the decor from 198-hell (mostly pink, gold lame', and some awful floral pattern), to the consistent mold smell. The smell I presume was caused by the leaky roof that persisted for 2 days and nights - and i was denied a room change, btw - and was offered "extra towels and a free mini bar"... More
