We Checked in after a long drive and were really tired, As soon as we saw the room we were very impressed. It is very well appointed, there is a little kitchen, and a bathroom. Everything was very clean and the staff very helpful stuff. The underground parking made us feel a little bit more secure that our car was... More

We have just stayed 2 nights at this hotel as we have come to visit friends in Dusseldorf. Check in was good. Our room was at the rear of the hotel so was nice and quiet. We had a large room and although fairly basic it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was OK with choice of cereals, ham, cheese breads etc.... More

As other comments mentions, it is very very close to the railway. We were scared when we arrived since our room is directly facing the railway. But the window are doing a very good job!! i am sensible; i usually sleep with earplug but i really had no problem to sleep (well, in the same time i was tired of... More

This hotel is located right on the train tracks and therefore extremely noisy all day and night. It is just impossible to get any sleep.

Other reviews note that a small road separates this hotel from a major rail line. That's true. However, I just didn't find this a problem despite having a room on the second floor, "rail side" of the building. In my case, it helped that the weather was not hot and so I closed the window while sleeping. With an open... More

The hotel describes its location as in the quaint town ot Solingen Ohligs. What is doesn't say is that it over looks at least 5 high speed and local railway lines, all of them well used day and night. We arrived at 5pm on a Friday evening and could not believe the noise level generated by the thundering high speed... More

Solingen is not well known as a tourist destination. Still, there are many nice museums and some decent restaurants. What might surprise even more is the amount of excellent foot and cycle paths. Especially for walkers relying on public transport to get to the starting point or return from the finish, Solingen provides an excellent combination of good urban bus... More
