Nice hotel with very friendly staf. Good size rooms. Although the hotel is situated in the city center I never experienced noice from the outside (except for the church bell's). The parkinggarage in front of the hotel is also very convienent

Nearby the city ( about 100 Mtrs.) you`ll find the hotel. Absolutely quiet, friendly service and fine, clean, comfortable rooms. We have had an upgrate in a premium room downstairs with garden view. Excellent the bed, the room size and the bathroom. The breakfast was also ok. Only parking is a little problem. There are only a few places inside... More

A very nice city hotel. Nothing extraordinary, but everything just works perfect. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Watch out for prices: I was surprised to find out I was billed additionally for breakfast. I am sure I could have found something cheaper and better by looking around at some of the nearby cafees - or the cheap option: A baker... More

Pretty, clean, friendly, cosy, great location. One * up from the usual Bestwestern standard. Congrats for the chef - they serve the best breakfast I have ever had in Bestwestern hotels (and many others 4* and 5*). It something what I will remember after all the hotels I visit evry year for business. Well done. I would be happy to... More

Nice rooms, friendly staff, close to the centre of the town. Parking just in front of the building or 50 metres away in the underground parking. Discount when you are staying at BW Engelsburg. Excellent breakfast. Cosy bar. Internetfacilities available. You can check-in at anytime, 24 hours a day. Take care it is better to make a reservation as it... More

We have friends on Recklinghausen so have been staying here every year, sometimes more often, since it first opened nearly 20 years ago. It's a restored beautiful historic building on the edge of the town, so an easy couple of minutes walk to the shops and an easy drive out to reach other town and nearby cities. We've just returned... The Engelsburg as you probably see on the website is an old (very old) "Burg" or small castle. The rooms are fairly modern. Nice and big. Big and modern bathrooms. What makes the Engelsburg outstanding is the service at the front desk and evening, throughout your stay. Even when we were hanging out with our family late at night, they... More

I've used this hotel many times over the last 6 years, and have never felt disappointed. It is well managed (super staff), clean, comfortable, and a very pleasant place to be. The rooms are well appointed, spacious, and if you get a courtyard view, quiet. There is a road to one side which can be noisy with pedestrians at any... More

I had an extended stay here in a suite and a single room. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I looked forward to breakfast which had healthy options and plenty of choices. The gym was well equipped with a treadmill, elliptical trainer, bike, pec deck, cable fly, hamstring and back machines. I loved the gym lights which could be... More

Absolutely the sweetest staff of any hotel I have ever visited. The rooms are large, bright and live-able with a lot of closet and drawer space and incredibly comfortable beds. The hotel is impeccably clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet is excellent but it does close down precisely when listed, not staying open a second later. The grounds are... More
