Too many flaws for a 2-star rating: * automated wake-up calls 20 minutes late every morning * buffet food not fresh * smelly corridors * room was not cleaned (probably because of broken latch, which constantly indicated that room in occupied)

We use the Ibis for travel to the Gelsenkirchenarea for football matches. It is absolutely superb. Clean, functional and good value for money. The staff are always more than helpful and most importantly it is located less than 100m from the main train station. I would thoruoghly recommend this hotel
